It all begins when mecha sonic tries to achieve his full power with the 7 chaos emeralds but when shadow interveins and teleports the emeralds to the mushroom kingdom Mario and his friends find themselves with a major problem. while mario is battling bowser (episode 2) sonic and shadow turn up in a capsule and join forces with mario and luigi then it begins
