I fear Final Fantasy 7 remake will be awful

Its not the nostalgia taking over me. I played this pretty late. It was about the time when Final Fantasy: Advent Children that i was introduced to it, because it was on a DVD bonus, and had gaming footage of it. Although my first impression was that the graphics was *bleep*. But i started to enjoy the game further on because i had the awesome cool summoning monsters. "Bahamut" being my favorite.

It had some cool mythological and philosophical effects in the background while being awesome and fighting stuff! cool

I mean its mostly due to how melodramatic it has ever been since Squaresoft mixed up and became Square Enix. Last good game was Final Fantasy 10 before it went over to Square Enix. I mean i rather prefer that Zack have plans on becoming a mercenary, and taking his war buddy Cloud with him, sorta taking him under his wings. No more, no less. And died. No cutsey effect, thats it!.

While Crisis Core on the other hands love to make it more anime by having bunch of power ups and Soldier Honor nonsense. And then crying like a lil girl at the end with j-pop music.

I just really fear they will do this with the entire FF7 game if its remade. But oh well. I'll just think of this when it comes by cool

Crisis core ruined the whole zacks death scene.
Cloud was a total zombie at that point of the game (at least in the original ff7 he was) and when he was all like "zack..." It kinda ruined it.
Cloud was able to grab zacks sword I get but him not saying anything added more sadness.
The truck scene with zack and cloud in the original ff7 always tears me up, so does the farm boy theme (that's what was playing)
Seeing cloud bobbing his head up and down all poisoned with mako energy after five years of experimentation, yeah that's definitely gonna put on some water works for me.
I just hope the remake doesn't turn out like advent children. Idk, I hope it keeps some of the weird humor that made the game so charming in the first place. I mean, that's why I like ff9 so much.
Funny charming characters who are also more than just laughs.
I mean, look at steiner, he was the comedic relief at the beginning, but then things started getting serious and he became this sad clown in denial about his queen.

Exactly. Cloud in FF7 at that point was radiated with Mako poison level 3 (Its impossible for him to actually think straight at all). Its when Tifa finds him that he sorta takes on the personality of Zack.

Well that was just kinda cool though in the FF7 PS1 game!
But y'know. You gotta portray it cool
