How Insomniac should save Spyro.

Hey Everybody,
We all know as Spyro fans even me, we all know that Activision ruined Spyro because of Skylanders and I saw some videos on Youtube how it was done. How it was done is, Skylanders we all know it is not a Spyro game which is true. And just because it says Spyro's Adventure it has nonthing to do with only Spyro, and we all know Spyro looks like a gremlin in Spyro's Adventure and Giants. And Oh my God he looks even more terrible he looks like one those ram animals, you know those types sheeps. Anyway Activision's ruining Spyro even more, well more that he is destroying him. And since Spyro was Insomniac's first game they had the rights for, I saw this with this guy that Insomniac NEEDS do to something about it because it's their and Activision is destroying it and Spyro sounds terrible. And Skylanders is a Sonic Adventure ripoff incase you don't know that and you collect rings instead of gems. Now this CEO of Insomniac Ted Price should do it, He should talk to CEO of Activision Eric Hirshberg about how he ruined it and tell him that he wants it back and his rights for the game back. And Ted if you see this message, come to your senses and think positive about you had the rights for the first and you said that Spyro Enter The Dragon is a travesty well tell you this Skylanders is travesty TOO!!! You need something about. Okay folks that have to say if agree with me comment and rate.

This type of criticism isn't really what we want in the Skylanders section of the forum. Please see the sticky announcement at the top of the Skylanders forum - these types of complaints come up so often that they are cliche, and we want Skylanders fans to feel welcome here and have a place to discuss the series that isn't overrun by negativity. It's possible a deal could be made similar to the recent Marvel and Sony deal where Insomniac can make the games, and Activision handles producing...or whatever. Or Crash could come back, but HA HA yeah this is never going to happen...cause reasons...

I should tell you guys this. If I created a video game and made it very good but then I thought I wanted to give it away. And if gave it to Activision, and the CEO did something to screw it up. I would tell Activision that I would want it back and it wouldn't matter if they no.

They're a business. Their primary concern is making games that will sell. Wasting their time trying to convince Activision to give them back an old, unpopular franchise is not going to be on their top list of priorities.

That and, like Aura24 said, they don't actually think Activision "screwed it up." They like Skylanders. What they didn't like were the Spyro games before Skylanders like Enter the Dragonfly.

That could be true, but he did also say that he was disappointed with the previous games, which also would have been criticizing Activision. I don't see any reason for him to have particularly strong feelings about it one way or another; Insomniac has never struck me as being super attached to the series or anything. I think the comment was probably genuine, but who knows for sure, really.

It's funny, because I looked at Insomniac's forums, and I saw someone else say that Ted faked his happy comment, just to avoid a controversy that would be on the same level on the one where people used to think his company made Enter the Dragonfly. I can pull it up, if you want.

I don't think it's fair to have that mindset towards classic fans in general. People like LocoGuy should perhaps be called "fanatics." I'm a pretty hardcore classic Spyro fan, and I just express that by enjoying the classic games, their music, etc.

I'm aware that not all classic fans act ignorant, just few of them in the fanbase think they can put words in Ted's mouth and pass it on like it's official.

Some people want to put false words in people's mouths to make themselves feel better, anyway. My used-to-be friend put false words into Rockstar's mouth after Grand Theft Auto went from actual sandbox-y San Andreas to linear-story-in-a-big-world IV. He started talking to me again after years of disconnection, and he's glad of what happened to Grand Theft Auto V - he's living the dream in that game. He actually downloaded an emulated version of IV, but since he found it surprisingly good, he decided to give Rockstar another chance and gave up $60 for the PS4 version of the game. He couldn't be more proud of himself.

I'm not sure if LocoGuy will be the same way, but hopefully he'll turn around. He said he'll never turn back to Activision, even if a working hacked Skylanders game came within his sights, but maybe a hacked game will change his ways. After all, he's already enjoying emulated versions of TLoS, after years of mental war with it.

Yeah, he did. He realized that he was just complaining over the redesign over Spyro, and looked into it after he saw Skylanders's official logo on Wikipedia. It didn't have the cover characters at the time, so he was convinced it'd be good, but now he's convinced that it's a ripoff.
