A Question I've Always Had with the Maleficent Movie...
Stephen, one of the main characters, cut off Maleficent's wings to, according to Maleficent's evidence, to become "king." I always thought that, at that point, was an assumption, because Stephen and Maleficent fell in love. Before she even decided to find a way to take vengeance, even bfore Stephen took the wings, and as Stephen and Maleficent had a friendly night for a last time, Stephen looked innocent and in a desire to protect her. So, it makes me wonder...did he cut her wings to fool the former king into an assumption of her death and to protect Maleficent, or did he just want to become a king, with no further interest in Maleficent? Even though there's a narrative line, "...Stephen grew further into paranoia and vengeance," it still makes me wonder... After all, there's no evidence indicating if that's so...

Re: A Question I've Always Had with the Maleficent Movie...
I've got some advice Locoguy based on some trends I've seen in your threads lately.
First of all, I feel like putting a poll on this sort of prevents conversation because nearly everything someone could say is one of the poll options.
Also, you should make more general threads instead of so specific questions and comments, like this one for example could have just been a Malificent thread, and you could have broken the ice with your question. That way, after the question has been discussed, the thread could continue with other discussions about the film. Also the forum won't be getting flooded with new threads quite so much.
On topic though, I never actually saw that movie so I can't really say.

^ take heed dood
He was sort of protecting her...kinda...You can tell since when he gets the knife out he attempts to kill herhimself he stops. He never really was protecting her as such, he just couldn't bring himself to kill her.
