Man.... That

Ah well , it's coming up to my 16th birthday , and I'm sat in bed atm , and there I see Spyro YOTD , just lying there for the PS1 , and I just remembered this forum , I think I had an account made in 2007 I forgot , so I was 11-10 , and it's just a bit touching to me about how fast time goes , I remember just sitting here loving Spyro , loving this forum in general , and It's just gone by so quickly , maybe it's because I'm going through bad stages in my life , but I just remember always browsing the forums , and well , it's different now , I'm so much older , and well I can't word it how I can in my head , but yeah it's sad. I wish I was a kid again sad This forum hasn't changed 1 bit.

Re: Man.... That

Glad you're back.
As far as I'm concerned, the easiest way for me to relive my childhood is playing Spyro. I hadn't played Spyro 1 since I was... what, 5? And I popped in that game about two years ago and I was on the verge of tears by the time I got past the menu screen. It had been so long. Spyro 1 and 3 (and maybe Crash) were the only games I ever played on my Ps1 when I was a kid. I had a few others, but I think I was too young to get into any of the other titles I owned. So when I had returned to the game after all of those years, I didn't think about how long it had been and how many memories there were. When I got to Artisans world, I just walked around for about 30 minutes remembering everything. That was probably one of my favorite moments I've ever had playing any game, ever.
If you truly think Spyro is the game that your entire childhood revolved around, just play it. I felt like I had no care in the world, so the same might apply to you.

Re: Man.... That

Spyro YoTd, I relate to that a lot. It's a heavy feeling. But remembering
those years is just a warm feeling. You look at today and realize how much
your life has shaped, formed, changed. There are some things that are a
part of your life today that you may find uncomfortable but in the end a lot
has changed for the good. Lets be thankful video games don't disappear
through time.

I grew up as an outcast. The skinny nerd with barely any friends. Time has
passed, I lost two friends who knew me since birth and gained one from my
7th grade school year. The saddest memory in my life is forgetting Spyro
was there. My middle-school and high-school years were the most
depressing years of my life. It was halfway through high-school when I
remembered I have Spyro. Spyro, my fake childhood friend who kept me
alive and happy all of my young years. Knowing I can come home and be
happy again, away from a hateful and judgemental world.

Let's see ... you're 16 so perhaps you're in 10th or 11th grade. That's
about the time when I remembered Spyro.

Re: Man.... That

If you really like Spryo, then feel free to play it. smile If you want, I can help you setup an emulator (ePSXe, but there are also other emus).
I am still child inside, and I'll propably always be. I think it is good thing to keep at least a little bit of child inside you..

Swaffy, we seem to walk similar paths. School years were also very depressoing for me. I have no friends from elementary and secondary school (lost them all), so all my friends are now on the internet.
btw now it look like I lost another friend.. my best frend who I had crush on ;(

Re: Man.... That

i suppose it's a sign that you're becoming a man; you have to play Spyro and be obsessed with it, forget about it, and rediscover it in your teen years.

seems like it's the story for everybody else, including myself.

oh, Blako, man - that's too bad. sad i was hoping that would work out for you.
