Is The Nintendo 3DS worth checking out?

I was never really interested in The Nintendo 3DS till I saw the amazing graphics and gameplay from Let's plays and such on youtube.

With Pokemon X and Y Version coming out. And the first Super Smash Bros on 3DS going to be announced should I consider buying the system an adapter if needed for those awesome titles like the new Pokemon games and 4th Super Smash Bros?

I probably won't be getting it anytime soon might not be years till I get it low on money right now.

But what does everyone think the system any good?

Re: Is The Nintendo 3DS worth checking out?

I have had a 3DS for over a year now and its one of the best handhelds ive ever owned. Theres alot of quality titles for it and more and more keep coming out. Somes of my notable favorites are kingdom Hearts dream drop distance, tales of the abyss, resident evil revelations and mario 3D land! What do you mean by an adapter though? tongue Anyways i would defiantly recommend one, I now own a 3DS and Vita and theyre pretty much on par with each other imo!

I mean an adapter to charge it up after playing. I have a Nintendo DS and as far as I remember I always needed to use the adapter I have for it to charge it up after use. Battery power I'm guessing though I'm not sure if ether system has a battery.

But thank you for your option this only continues to give me a reason to want to buy it someday I appreciate the positive feedback!

No problem! You mean just the general charger? the normal 3DS comes with one but the XL requires you to buy one separately, im actually debating whether to one day upgrade to an XL.. anyways if you do invest in one in the future make sure to share your friend code with me smile Also X and y are the pokemon games I dreamed of...cel shaded 3D models and what not ^^

Oh so it's called a charger? Well ether way XL or not both look awesome and no problem. Yeah Pokemon X and Y are indeed a dream come true! anyway wether you get The XL or not hope you enjoy X and Y and any future titles for the 3DS and once again thanks for the feedback!

As for friend codes if I do get the system I will do my best to remember to ask for your code. Can't make any promises but I will see what I can do.

Re: Is The Nintendo 3DS worth checking out?

I've had a 3DS XL for a while now and it's a pretty nifty little system. Personally I don't like the original 3DS since it gave me headaches when trying to watch the tiny screen in 3D. That issue doesn't come up for me with the XL.

Might want to wait until after E3 this year though. The 3DS XL won't be the last "3DS" to come out.

A model with a second slide pad would be a gift from the gods.
