I came here first when this forum was still brand-new in '06. Before that, I came from the Neoseeker Spyro forums.

I joined darkSpyro later. Everyone there seems to hate me for some reason, though. =/

Well, both forums used to be filled with fantards and noobs, so that person was technically right. tongue Our fantards are gone now, but I dunno about there because I haven't been there in forever. Last time I was there, there was this huge "religion war" going on between an an extreme atheist and his followers and an extreme Christian. It was pretty stupid.

This is my first home for a Spyro community. I joined DarkSpyro and was on
it for quite some time in the past, but this place is nicer in so many ways. But
I do admit that when this site goes down, I go to DarkSpyro as a backup,
hoping I will meet some of you guys there in case it's your backup too.

Both forums have had/have a share of fanboys, trolls, nutjobs and idiots so no forum is perfect. The difference is Dark prefers being the only admin around while SF has several admins so it takes longer to deal with them

Last time I was there, their site had basically no moderation. Flame wars were happening everywhere and people were blatantly trolling and bullying others almost completely unchecked.

They always say Spyroforum is too strict with its moderation. It's pretty annoying, but it really makes me think twice before I take any action as a mod, so I guess it's good in a way.

Yet he only got a 2 week bann when he LIGHTLY mocked the site owner for been Britsh

I didn't know dark52 was like that. I thought it took floods of whining to his inbox for him to actually have to pay attention and ban someone. I've seen the worst trolls and the most disrespectful members never get so much as a warning. Guess they just knew enough not to insult the admin....

There's probably going to be a thread about us on dS popping up any time now if someone from there sees this thread. :roll eyes:

I am the same way, arguing (or even debating) over religions isn't going to
change anything in this world. Do any of you see me going around debating
about God and/or religion? (No.) I don't because it wouldn't do us any good.

Well then, I am happy to say I prefer this place. I can't stand being in
places where people argue and curse over the most pointless topics. And I
like being in places with organization and mature people.

Same here, man, though you'd be amazed at how much people get stirred up over you just simply stating what you believe. It's enough to drive someone to drink.

oh, this one person i know. he's a cool guy in every other respect, but when i mention the fact that i'm Christian. if i just mention that something happened at church, it's "HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH CHURCH." and if i mention the name of God such as "thank God" (not kidding) he seems to think i'm trying to provoke something with him. he gets extremely defensive about Atheism, and gets all quiet. yet he has an equally religious fascination with science, and i'm to just accept it every time he brings up something he saw pertaining to it.

Thats the thing, two sided things. Sure there are christians who will force there belife into athiEst, but the same goes to them trying to force the belifes of christians.
