Spyroforum Christmas 2011

Hey Spyroforum,

As you may know if you've been here for previous years, we have a tradition wherein the forum is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, and Boxing Day. Instead of displaying the forums as usual, everyone will see a Spyro and Christmas-themed fan art work if they try to visit Spyroforum for those three days.

I've done the art in previous years, and I was asked to do it again this year. Due to lack of time and other stuff, I wasn't going to do it again this year, but if I don't come up with anything, one of my old pictures will probably be reused.

So, rather than have everyone see old art I don't really like for three days, I thought we could try something different that will hopefully be fun. I'm going to draw a Christmas tree, and you all (if you want to participate) can submit Spyro-related ornaments that I will put on the tree.

Some things you should note...

You can make them in any program you want and any size you want. I'll be resizing them all to make their sizes somewhat uniform.
Everyone can participate, so don't feel like you have to be an amazing artist or anything (I'm definitely not).
You can submit as many as you want.
I need them by the 23rd. PM them to me when they're finished to keep voting (mentioned below) anonymous.
Everyone will be credited for their work.

In addition, there will be a contest to decide which ornament was the best. After Christmas is over, I'll put up a poll with all the submitted ornaments for everyone to vote on (names of the creators will not be revealed until the poll ends). For the winner, there will be a prize of gems, bragging rights, and possibly a fake Global Moderator or Admin tag for a day or so because that's really all I can give you. tongue

I actually made a Spyro ornament just a couple of weeks ago, but it's hanging up in a big tree at our school. Might post a picture of it tomorrow when I go back!

I guess you want the ornaments to be drawn, not just pictures mashed
together? Well, that sounds fun! Yeah, I'll try to draw something.

I haven't made it yet (I'll probably start on it next Wednesday when all my finals are over) but I'll post it here when it's done. Might be pretty last minute, though.

It can be made pretty much however you want (as long as you don't steal it from someone else of course tongue ). Original artwork is great, though!

I made my ornament! It took me half the day because I was on Xbox LIVE
half the time (not to mention me being a Photoshop noob), but it's done!

I did say that, but I guess it doesn't have to. Since it's for our community, I think it can be whatever we want.

Could you tell me the idea? I guess you could make it if you want; I didn't really plan to do anything special with the tree except for maybe putting a few Spyro characters around it.

Going to have to start on it tomorrow as I just got done with all my finals today. Still only have one submission; hopefully other people will make stuff or it'll be really boring.

(Neotyguy, if you want to make the tree you can as long as it's done before the 24th. Just let me know if you'll be doing it or I'll assume you won't and make one myself.)

I got DQ6 and White Knight Chronicles II. I also got really trolled and got DQ9 and Assasins Creed 2. >_>. Ah well. I got $100 from my uncle so I'll just trade AC2 and DQ9 for Dark Souls and use the money to order DQ4 and 5 on the internet.
