I'm the sort of person who will be fine with doing the same battle constantly about a thousand times to level up his little army, though. The game just needs you to be hard as a neutron star when it comes to grinding, I reckon.

Grinding was just an artificial way of extending the length of the game back during the NES/SNES days due to lack of memory on the cartridges. Now that we have have Blu Ray discs and even DS cards with lots of memory. We don't really need it anymore.

I like the Story and music from Disgaea but the Gameplay absolutely killed it for me.

Not realy, i like a BIT of grinding, but if we don't have it were just running along kill run along kill.

grinding makes a JRPG not an FPS.

But it was all so beautiful when you started to fill out the tiers, and your characters began to throw down all kinds of crazy damage.

Yeah Disgaea 4 is out in Japan. Out in North America, I think, or about to be released. Don't know about Europe.

I just love the idea of sailing into someone else's game and kidnapping all their minions for some torture. And then sending them a little PM telling them that you'll be using their favourite prinny as a walking grenade.

10/28/11 for Europe. It already came out in North America on the 6th. Oddly enough i see no release date for Australia. There always getting the short end of the stick in the gaming industry for some reason.
