Re: E3 2011
There are changes. The levels are not the exact same, they changed a lot of it up to surprise the players. They talked about that in the video and showed some footage on it and I can see the differences. And it's nice, it feels nostalgic while unfamiliar at the same. Now please stop bashing. I'm asking politely.

Lolno...
Call of Duty was a great game because of the developers. Sonic wasn't bought out like CoD was. Sonic is going to be Sega's for the foreseeable future. The reason CoD sucks now is because they made many changes from the first few, and then they don't change a single thing.
Sonic is different. The old games use to all be the same, and that is what the fans liked. Now there are many changes that people don't like, and each of the newer games is almost completely different from one another.
Sonic isn't trying to be "milked" like CoD. Sega is actually putting effort into the newer games, and the older fans don't like the new additions made in the games.

Thank you, you described my very thoughts XD I can tell they have put in plenty of effort into Generations and more so. Because this game will appeal to fans of Sonic, old and new. The fact they are even using levels like City Escape from the Dreamcast has really got me pumped for this game. I look forward to some Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 levels <3

Try not to refer to people as "kid". There's no good way for someone to take that, and it's pretty derogatory.
@All: I have to agree with Swaffeh. I bought the original CoD and UO expansion before I even knew what it was (first WWII game I've played). Not trying to be a hipster though (because CoD was always considered "cool" even when the first game was released), but I think the original CoD and UO were the greatest. I also enjoyed the second one, but not the third. The fourth was "different". Not in a good or bad way, because I feel it was a completely different genre compared to the previous, but if it stood by itself I feel it would have been a great game. The fifth I never really played, and MW2 was horrid. I'll admit that Black Ops isn't as bad as MW2, but I wouldn't even consider it good on its own terms. I don't expect it to get any better either, considering Activision is using its oh-so-famous annual release cycle (notable for turning the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero series into piles of crap).
I think you would appreciate these videos Swaffeh. I found them about a week ago and it gives a pretty good perspective about the history of the CoD games (currently only up to the third one, but it's still very well done in my opinion):

Agreed, SA2B was my favorite post-genesis sonic game. I also don't believe that Sonic is being milked, SEGA just kept making crap games without any fan input whatsoever. Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06 were absolutely trash games. Now, SEGA is listening to their fans and their stock has been rising rapidly over the past year.
After CoD4 put them on the map, Activision knew the name would sell copies, so they signed a deal with infinity ward and treyarch to make a new CoD game every year. In my opinion ever since CoD4 the games have gotten cheesier and cheesier and I have no hope for MW3.

Thanks, Ty. I'm going to watch them, I'll be right back with a reply.
Alright. The only thing those videos did for me is give me more reasons to
dislike the series. Look at the Maschinenpistole 40 in the second video. It's
the same one from Black Ops and World at War. Are they ever going to learn
to try something new? They've been using the same general game engine
for all of these years, only with a slight change in graphics. As I see it, the
monotony began with Call of Duty 2 and will continue even through Modern
Warfare 3. If I were to give any praise to the Call of Duty series, it would be
that it is the first series to have 3D iron sights on its weapons.

Re: E3 2011
In terms of campaign so far I liked CoD4 the most, though I haven't gotten round to playing any of the earlier games (should do that sometime), WaW was alright, but zombies was the best part of the game, Black Ops again, I found the campaign average, and I enjoyed zombies more than any other aspect, and finally MW2, the campaign was more of the same, pretty average, but I liked the online the most out of all the CoD games I've played.

Exactly. It's difficult to respect a series that comes out with the exact same thing each time. For FPS games that just doesn't work.
If I look at my favorite games, and see how they developed over time, I see one thing in common:
1. Zelda - Each one is completely different, but keeps the same feeling.
2. Splinter Cell - Again, each is completely different, but keeps the exact same feeling.
3. Original Spyro - And again, each is completely different, but keeps the same feeling.
4. Half-Life - Different with same feeling.
5. .Hack - Different and yet it keeps... The same feeling...
Call of Duty changed a lot from the first one. At CoD 3, it changed a lot, and the original 'feeling' of the game was completely gone with the addition of killstreaks, custom classes, and especially the move to consoles as the primary target. Ever since, there has been no change at all. Each one is like a carbon copy of the previous. Sure, there have been new weapons, maps, etc. But each weapon is practically the same (seriously, you can't even tell the difference between firing an M4 and a P90 in that game).
I think developers should realize that you need to keep to make improvements, but don't stray too far from the original games. My favorite game of all time was the Ocarina of Time. When I play the newer Zelda games (for example, Twilight Princess), I still get the same feeling as I did from OoT. It's the same thing in this aspect where you go through a beginning section, then 3 areas, then another 3 areas, and then a final part (along with many parts in between and side-quests).
However, the game is completely different in the aspect of puzzles, monsters, specialty (turning into a wolf, going out to sea, traveling through time, etc.), and different items.

Re: E3 2011
I didn't particular like Microsofts e3. They should move their fous away from Kinect. I will enjoy Gears of War 3 and hopefully maybe Halo 4 or halo anniversary.
I loved Nintendo's new console. I know others may not be thrilled with the new controller and the cost of a second controller does worry me. The HD technology will greatly help Nintendo make prettier games and hopefully they take advantage of it. I am a bit disappointed with the 3DS. I love the 3D effect but the lack of games makes it unenjoyable for the moment. Other than that I can't wait for Smash brothers on 3DS and WiiU. Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario 3DS, Starfox 3DS and Ocarina of Time are what I'll be waiting for. Let's not forget the Wii and Skyward Sword will be a must buy XD
Sony, I personally believe, did the best at this e3. I understand if you believe Nintendo won and I honestly don't care because it's good for gaming. I just was pleasantly surprised by the psvita's price tag. After being terribly shocked by the ps3's price tag I believe Sony has understood about pricing their consoles. I also like the lineup. Games like LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, Call of Duty, a bioshock game not associated with the past series, Killzone, Resistance. The games amaze ne. Probably learning from the psp's and 3DS lackluster launch. I think their moving into the right direction. They put a very competitive price and the specs on that thing is exactly something I want. The PS3 is hitting it's stride and Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and Starhawk are some games I can't wait for.
Overall I was happy. No big surprises except WiiU's controller or psvita's price tag. I also can't wait for Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Modern Warfare 3(I understand the negative thoughts but I find it kind of enjoyable. I'm interested in the spec ops mode like Nazi zombies in Black Ops.) Battlefield 3, Bioshock Infinite, Assassins Creed revelations.
I'm sorry if I offend anyone and I'm just stating my opinion. I understand if you have another but I also want you to respect my own. I know I missed other games and I might have made a few spelling errors and I apologize I'm using my itouch. Well I'm glad to share my opinion XD

Call of *bleep* looks better than Call of Duty. Too bad it's not a real game, and it's just the MW2 trailer audio over some Japanese CGI animal warfare thing.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
I don't trust Sony anymore. First it was the battle against hackers unlocking the PS3's full potential, and then the nation-wide identity scare because of obsolete security systems. Despite the obvious superiority of the PSVita, and pricing close to the 3DS, I can't see it doing too well because of past results and recent events. There's my little mini-rant.
Really I'm just hoping for Sony to step down and work with Nintendo. Maybe then we'd get Spyro 1-3 on 3DS.
