Books You've Read

Basicly talk about books you've read recently and that sorts. I mean we all gotta love to read a book sometime in our life, right? So tell people what you think about books you've read or are reading.

Anyways, as for me, the most recent book I've read was 'The Infernal City: An Elder Scrolls Novel' and I said it's not bad. Pretty sad though...

Oh, you all probably gonna hate me for saying this, so does many others, but I've read the Twilight series and I liked it.

Re: Books You've Read

Trying to read Thomas Friedman's book called The World Is Flat. It's about technology today and how it's influencing the world economy. Big book, but pretty interesting.

As well as the good old hunchback of notredame, if the disney vertions dark i'd love to see how dark the real thing is ((and yes I know there will be HUGE diffrences EG frollo is the minister of the church in the book, and Quasimodo was abandond at birth)) so it would be intresting to see the diffrences tongue

also I'v read a lot opf goosbumps in my time, they areactually realy good...then then there was the other serries I got a whole heep of from my cousen
titled
"creepers"

The first one I read was realy dark, it was about kids selling there souls to the devil then one by one the devil killed them, it was better than It sounds tongue

but then it turned AWFULL  every book was basicly

X meats monster, monster is bad Monster wants to be set free X sets monster free monster turns out good. It *bleep*ed me off so mutch I resued to read anymore in that serries.

Re: Books You've Read

I've read (that's not to say I liked)
- Much of the discworld series.
- The Mortal Engines series.
- The Edge Chronicles
- Darren Shan's Vampire books.
- Darren Shan's Demonata books.
- The Inheritance Cycle.
- Artemis Fowl and the following series.
- Chaos Walking trilogy.
- How to Train your Dragon books.
- Harry Potter books.
- Loads of Robin Hobb books.
- His Dark Materials Trilogy.
- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books.
- Plenty of miscelleaneous books on all kinds of topics.

Deal with it.

Re: Books You've Read

I recommend the Study series by Maria V. Snyder, which consists of Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study. Also, the Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray is AMAZING (A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Thing).

Re: Books You've Read

It's a pretty good series, but I suppose I'm getting too old for it. The characters aren't really developing at all. The only thing that changes is the interaction between Holly and Artermis, and I for one hope that does not end up as a romance.

Re: Books You've Read

I've read the Eragon books. They're OK, but they're not what I'd call great literature. I think a lot of the hype for those books just comes from the fact that the author was so young when he wrote the first one.
