Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

Have you?
I have. And it will stay with me, for a while. I went for a walk in the forest once you know like hunting, when I came to a trap I found it had been ripped open, the trap was steel and heavy, and it had been ripped open, the bait taken, and the chances of the trap working again was screwed over. I took my gun loaded some bullets into it, because if something had broken into that trap and it was still around, it could be dangerous, natrually, I thought Bear, grizzly been the worst case scenario, I called for my mate when I heard something. I took my gun and almost shot it. It was hairy, it stood taller than me, and I was 19 at the time so that gives you a fair idea of how big it was. Big eyes and a huge head. It dissapered back into the forest before I could do anything or worry about it. I was back to the truck in seconds. My mate said I was pale as anything, he knew I was telling the truth I was like in shock.

I have another encounter but less freingthning with the beast of Bray road but that is another story which I shared a while ago here, if you wanna red it, here ya go

Quick Edit
Well, I have one intrestring story.

When I ahd just gotten into and started this after leaving school and finished some courses and uni. I and Dimesional Spyro ( I'll call him DS from now on) went to Wisconsin ( I can't spell it) to search for the Dogman*. Really, we enjoyed the time there. But what caught my eye was that this man was living near a large forestry area where lots of Dogman sightings had been reported. I met up with the dude and since I was desparite for some conclusive evidence on the creature, I asked to interview him. He agreed. I asked him a few questions and he answeared them all. That is I asked one last question  "Have any of your Cattle have gone missing this week?" He expalined that a small number of his cattle dissapered that week.

That was evidence enough soemthing was there. I knew it. Later, though soemthing really took the cake. I was driving down the road ready to come forward to the man and ask if I was allowed to track the cows that had dissapered....when I saw it. For a brief second. I was scared *bleep* less. The thing all I remember was something, a wolf but bipedal. But it ran away. Well not really. It stumbled away like someone drunk it was gone into the bushy area and the forestry before I knew it.

And that was as conclusive evidence I am sure I will ever find. I returned to the spot and found nothing left marked that it was there. But what was really scary, was that it looked scarec itself as if I was danger, which I muswell have been to them. We are just starting understand the world around us. No-one can tell me it dosen't exisit. I know what I saw that day and nither was it humon nor was a wolf.

*Dogman- Beast of Bray Road

I quoted that from a previous topic.

Anyway, anyone else seen a cryptid of some kind?

EDIT: I know it just repeated it self in the qoute but for some reason a bug has repeated it just ignore Attach signature and beyond.

Hahaha, sorry, but I laughed when you said you went to Wisconsin to see the "dogman." I have lived here all my life and have never heard any such legend.

Re: Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

I study cryptids as a hobby, I've heard of Chupacabra, Beast of Bray Road, Bigfoot, Nessie, all of those interesting creatures, and I do believe they exist, however it would be a pleasure if I ever sighted a cryptid.

I have changed my username from Justin Long Fanatic to EricChristianOlsenFanatic, so Justin Long Fanatic is my old name on this site, and EricChristianOlsenFanatic is my new one.

Re: Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

It's a kind of un explained creature so to speak. Something that is not a normal animal like a dog or cat. I hope that's right and hope I helped.

Re: Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

Well I was told I look like a sasquatch when I'm wearing a ghillie suit.

Does that count?  :-P

Re: Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

Half of these things might be out there. But there is not enough evidence to support that right now. So I would say half are not even real and if not none of them are real.

Wrong. There is a lot of evidence, and well enough of it to prove that they
existed [and still exist, especially in a giant swamp in Africa]. You are
simply uninformed about what evidence there is.

And dragons did in fact exist, even fire breathing dragons. It's hard to
believe something like that, especially in days like these. And as a side
note, the word 'dinosaur' was invented in 1841 by a person named Sir
Richard Owen. The word "dinosaur" means "terrible lizard."

Here's something interesting to munch on ...
- Not all dragons can breathe fire
- Not all dragons can fly
- Water dwelling dragons exist today for many reasons
- Humans killed off the land dwelling dragons
- There is modern, historical, and scientific proof of their existence
- I like how an old guy on a canoe was trying to blow Nessy out of the
water in the movie The A Team as the militants were 'flying' the tank.

Re: Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

I know but what I'm trying to say is that half of these things can be out there. And half could be real creatures. Not saying their not out there but as of right now things like Bigfoot could just be a man in a suite. Nessy might be a big fish.

I still have hope like everyone else that there out there. But as of right now I just think half of them are hoaxas and what not I do not mean to offend you in any way Swaffy or to say that their is not enough evidence what you say is true.

I am just stating what I think. I am sorry if what I said seems wrong to you.

Sources? Articles? Links? What kind of "Modern, historical, and scientific proof"? What evidence are we "uninformed" of? Your post is giving a lot more questions than answers.

1. If not all dragons can breathe fire or fly, then why call them dragons? It's like the Komodo.
2. What kind of water dwelling dragons exist today?
3. How do we know some dragons breathed fire?

Re: Have you ever sighted a Cryptid?

As a quick note

Alot of Cryptids out there are real, but in such a way that we don't see them as.
For example, Nessie- a big scary fish, Beast of Bray Road- a chimp with teeth and a slightly pointed face, Jersey Devil- An undiscovered species of gaint bat, e.t.c

When looking for, or studying, cryptids you have to look at an open mind, when someone sees a big fish that surfaces at the surface, they genrally panic and imagiantion kicks in, and you think your seeing a Plesisour (Is that spelt properly?)
Then, the story spreads and people strech the facts.

Get what I am saying?
I could go on like this but I am lazy right now.
