Welcome to the unofficial SpyroForum Pokemon tournament! You can join if you have Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver and a DS-compatible WiFi connection. You'll each be battling one person at a time, and the winner of each battle will go on to the next round. There's no way to prove who was really the winner, so we're just going to have to go by the honor system. If you didn't win, don't try to lie and say that you did, but I don't think we'll have to worry about that. tongue

The winner will be awarded some gems... or something. I haven't decided yet.

The meeting place where we can talk about the tournament is going to be the IRC channel #pokemanz on epic-chat.net. To get there, go here if you have an IRC client installed, or go to Mibbit and fill everything in like this.

Participating in the chat is optional, but hopefully more fun. smile (While you're there, you should also visit Spyrochat by typing "/join #spyrochat" after you're connected. tongue )

If you want to sign up, just say some times any day this week that will work for you, and I'll pair you up with someone who has the same time available for a battle. Depending on everyone's schedules, it could take a few days for all the battles to finish and all the results to come in.

Rules:
We will be playing by the usual standard rules. That means no hacked/Action Replay'd Pokemon and no Pokemon from the "Illegal" list (Smogon.com's ubers list). This is to make sure no one is completely slaughtered by overpowered legendaries. Make sure you check the list to see if your team is allowed. We also don't want one-hit KO moves (like Sheer Cold) and evasion moves (like Double Team and Minimize). Other than that, do whatever you want with your team!

Yeah, it'll be fun. I just hope we can get the wifi working here before this thing starts. I don't want to play Pokemanz in some public coffee shop. tongue

Can't get my friend code until wifi works so...

I think this coming Sunday would be the best for me. Either that or Thursday.

ember_da_dragon: You know they don't all have to be level 100. The game brings them down to 50 when you battle. wink (I think I actually only have a total of 3 level 100's in all my games combined.)

Sooo, Stormy, have you made the roster yet? Who battles who, etc?

Ack, sorry guys, I've been away from SF for a few days.

I think we should wait another couple days if that's OK with everyone. Maybe try to get more people than our 5. I'm also going to need times from everyone of when you're available so we don't get mixed up with timezones.

I'm starting to think this isn't going to go anywhere...anytime this weekend would work for me except for tomorrow from 11am-2pm. (GMT - 6:00) Should we wait to start until we get more people or what? I'm not sure if anyone else is really interested. Like ember, weekends are best for me, but Monday and Thursday after 3pm work too. Darn work, cutting into mah Pokemanz time. tongue

We still need Infamouz and Stormy's friend codes. Has Infamouz been on chat recently?

Any day would really work for me, but I guess weekends would be best. Tomorrow possibly, or tonight even if anybody is even on... I might just sit in the Pokemon Center tonight waiting for people. XD

I guess the times that would be most convenient for me would be somewhere between 6:00-9:00 pm Central Time, any day.

EDIT: Crap, nevermind. My wifi suddenly stopped working... Suddenly it can't obtain the IP address >.>

I think we're going to do this a little differently since we have so few people. Let's try battling everyone. The winner will be the one who beats the most people after everyone's done. If there's a tie, those two will battle.

I just battled Paranoia and lost, so that's one loss for me. XD Paranoia is going to battle Lambda now.

Okay, Stormy and Paranoia aren't able to come on the forum as easily, so Stormy put me in charge of keeping track of the tournament.

So far Infamouz and Paranoia are tied with two wins, Stormy has two losses and one win, and I fail with a grand total of three losses.

I'll try to be on most of the night, so PM me if you want to set up a battle time with any of us.
