Re: Do you think Insomniac should come back?
I like the old Spyro games... But they were only good for their time. I'm not talking about graphics, but it was a simple platformer. Too simple. I mean, nowadays people like complicated games. Games that make you think for yourself.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the old games, but do you really think the general public would really want to get something like that?
I fail to see how LoS makes you "think for yourself" and the platforming Spyro didn't. LoS is just running through linear levels whacking hoards of monkeys over and over until you get to the boss. Pre-LoS, even post-Insomniac, I actually had to think to complete the games -- how do I get to this area? How do I complete this puzzle? Some of the levels literally took me years to figure out. When I played LoS, I found myself button-mashing more than thinking. I can't think of a single level that took any brainpower whatsoever... but then I didn't play DotD, so maybe it was different than the others.
As for Insomniac developing the new Spyro game, I honestly don't really care who does it, just as long as they can come up with something other than repetitive monkey bashing. Preferably some kind of platforming, but I doubt it's ever going to happen.

Re: Do you think Insomniac should come back?
They COULD make Spyro hold a gun since dragons could stand on their hind legs in the original series, but I'd save that for Agent 9. It would be cool if we had a Matrix-themed level for him.
Yeah, I know. XD
I was referring to their "reason" for dropping Spyro. (At least... I THINK that was Insomniac who said that...)
A Matrix-themed level sounds cool, but what about the copyrights? XD
SSD~
When life gets you down, take to the skies.
Link to my Spyro-themed songs coming soon...?

Re: Do you think Insomniac should come back?
I'd totally love a matrix-themed level, just 'cause I love the movie.
lol Spryo as Neo (at least I think that's how you spell it).
Today I'm gonna get high and see if the Nixon tapes sync up to Pink Floyd.

I agree with Stormy. Remember that puzzle thing in Idol Springs, in Gateway to Glimmer? The one where you had to get all the rocks green? That took me ages to do.
And levels like Tree Tops...I spent ages working out how to get to the little floating island thing. In the end, I figured that I should just follow the little green theif.
Now for TLoS. What puzzles are there in that series? Hmm...OH YEAH! We have to find three statue-thingies and breathe fire onto them to get the door to open. Unlike in the original series, there is no timer and the things are easy to find.
AH! The puzzle on Celestial Caves. But that isn't a puzzle! The scary voice tells us what to do. And everything's all colour-coded anyway.
Where in the original three games I would spend a year trying to find one gem in a level, in TLoS all you have to do is thrust the Nunchuk upwards, jump in the air, and press B five times. Enemy dead. OH NO! WHOLE HORDE OF ENEMIES! THIS SHOULD BE DIFFICULT! Just use earth flail. Or ice tail works. Or electric spin.
...Yeah. You can see what I think,
Donate gems to me, biatch, and I give you cuddles.
