New: SpyroForum Chat!

Hello Spyroforum,

As you may or may not have noticed, Spyrorocks has added a built-in chat to our forums! Just click on the Spyro head in the left corner of your screen and a list of names of users online should show up. Click on a name to start chatting! Even if you go to another page on the site, your chat windows will follow you, so you can read and reply to threads while chatting at the same time. big_smile

Eventually there will be a way to disable the chat, but for now just hide your online status in your profile if you don't want to be contacted. The chat works only on Internet Explorer and Firefox; you will not be able to send or receive messages if you're not using one of those browsers. It is also limited to two-way chats, so if you want a group conversation, SpyroChat is still available. (Click here to visit SpyroChat.com, or if you have an IRC client installed, click here.)

Please note that the privacy policy and all forum rules still apply to this chat.

X3 Fun, but i think so far spyro Chat is faster... But still its good to ask questions to people with out sending messages if they are online.

I realy like how i can check who is online with out having to go to the main page to see. Also if the forums can get more visitors and they sign up this would also strike more activity. Iv already been getting alot of IM's

You know, I think that there should be a sound when you receive a new message... For people like me who tend to be doing other things but still have a tab open for SpyroForum.

Yea i kinda have to agree Its happened that i wasnt paying attention and some one IMs me and leaves because i dont respond....

I agree, and I think there actually are plans to implement this eventually.

Nothing happens when I click on it. Does it not work with Google Chrome?

Nope, as I said in the first post, it only works on Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I use Chrome as my main browser too, but I'm starting to use Firefox again now because of this. 3.6 Beta seems to be faster than the other version I have.

I have found a Flaw to the IM. When u hit the - to minimize, even when its minimized you cant click behind were it normaly would be. It trates it like the IM is still up

Noticed that myself.

Also, I'm just stating this... I found that I could use it to talk with myself. I find that rather amusing. XP
