It should be nominated for best special effects but thats about it. The rest of the movie was a bunch of bull crap that you see in almost every other end of the world movie. It also drags towards the end. I mean, 2 and a half hours long!

who actually thinks its true? That the world is really gonna end on 2012 as the Mayans had predicted? December 21 during the sun solstice. the longest day where we might knock out of orbit or the magma will flood the earth. Planet X is what we will become. here are some links if your curious.

Guys, the 2000 idea was just because some idiots thought it would be funny. The Thor idea was another 'just for sh*ts and giggles' idea, and the 6/6/06 was just because it had those numbers in it. Non of them could even be partially plausible.

2012 is different, hundreds of sources (psychics, Mayans, Buddhists, etc.) think 'something' will happen that day, and most of them have not even made contact with each other for hundreds of thousands of years. I am not saying it will happen, or that it will be 'doomsday', but WHY do you all need to bash out every single idea just because you don't like it? If you actually research these things, you will get a really different idea of what happens. When people said the LHC would made a blackhole and consume the earth, I looked at the idea, and I found it pretty plausible (even if the chance is very low and the fail-safe fails). It's like 60 years ago when people said the first atom bomb test would create a reaction in the upper hemisphere and burn it.

In any case, it doesnt matter. If your wrong and you have been speaking gloom and doom for the years leading up to the date and it doesn't happen, you'll want to end yourself to avoid the ridicule.

And if it does, we're all dead ANYWAYS, so whatever you had to say becomes invalid with the purging of humanity. (live it up for the .0003 seconds were alive (: )
