Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
I myself haven't been on in a couple of days and realized that this place has been relitively quiet. Sort of dissapointed realy...
Is it because everybody is at home playing Modern Warfare 2? I think it is... lol
Hope after this short craze with that game everybody will return to the forums... lol... It's sort of lonely really.
If tomorrow may never come, and yesterday is just a memory, then what is today worth?

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
MW2 is terrible becuase
1) No console
2) No lean
3) no dedicated servers
4) No mods
5) No choosing your own servers
Of course its quite, because any interesting threads are banned

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
Hey i dont have that game and im not into those remake war games. To me they are all the same. They are games based off of wars and you do the same old thing, Capture places, kill people and move out. And i havent been posting much because iv been bogged down with homework. Homework for me comes in waves. One week i have nother and then the next BOOM 2 essays and 20 math problems.

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
Well, it's only starting to come back to life these past couple days to what I assume were forum updates, and the forum wasn't available for a few days. When I come here in the morning, I see lots of new posts. Maybe that's just me.
Everyone knows I only eat Cynder fangirls.

MW2 sucks. I absolutely hated the storyline and wanted to pull my hat over my head.

But I have been noticing less and less people on at a time. most of the posters here are underage and still going to school so Im gussing thats why there is so little activity here. The only reason I ever get to post durring the day is because I am at a Military school and I have free periodes.

No, the forum isn't at a low state. You just aren't paying enough attention.
Keep a good attitude, brother.

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
If you think the activity is low, why not try making a few new threads to get some discussion going?
...I think threads like this might tend to drive people away. "There's no activity on this forum? Oh, I should just go find a new one."

Yes, that it is. Without lots of new posts, it might feel, well, perhaps a little vacant?

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
What is so great about MW2? Its another game about a war in modern times and blah blah and more or less in my eyes its another military game to make people want to join the military because they think that if they get shot to much and theyr screen starts to flash red and if they hide behind something their life will go down and all that junk. Its just another key word ANOTHER military game. Heck i can list so many that do the same thing. Go in, kill people, secure the objective, move one..... There isnt much change in the plot line or thrills.
I dont see how that would take people away from a forums. but some how it had a kid in my group in video go the whole week end on 2 hours of sleep and bearly getting up for food and bathroom.

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
In my view, this thread seems to have become some sort of MWII
discussion. Because I have had the game for two days, I mind as well hop
in to aid in the discussion.
The new features attract the attention of the players. These features
include having a Remnington pump-action shotgun in place of a grenade
launcher on a player's assault rifle, riot shields that can be used to block
bullets, heartbeat sensors to detect close-by enemies, tactical flares that
can be dropped so that the player can spawn on the flare after the player
dies, etc etc ...
But in my opinion, Call of Duty seems to not care about the actual military,
and focuses on the weapons and ultra fast kills. They don't care if a
$100,000+ guided missle is used to take out a single soldier. They don't
care if a recon soldier with a sniper rifle, that is supposed to be used in a
range of over a mile [the first rifle on the list], sprints around a tiny map
and attemps to fire rounds into enemy soldiers ... not worrying about his
own life.

It's a game. CoD has never been about realism. IF you want realism then try Red Orchestra which is easily the most 'realistic' war game you can get. And the unrealism doens't start with CoD4 either. Lets not forget CoD2 where you can get shot a million times but so long as you rest long enough then you can sure as hell jump about like nothing has happened )

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
The majority of FPS are like that. Halo 1 required health packs, but in Halo 2, you'd auto-regenerate.

Same with Kill.Switch, even though that isn't a FPS I still enjoyed it.

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
I hold in my possession, a copy of Modern Warfare 2 that has not been played for a week since release...wanna know why? Because my 360 is busted, been busted since June but is going out for repairs this weekend.
Now about the game, the game is NOT concentrated on realism in any way shape or form, this game is more like a Micheal Bay movie minus the crappy plot. The story is about betrayal, revenge and all out warfare all the components for a hollywood movie, I have yet to play single player but from what some people told me, it's one that will keep you interested.

Re: Call of Duty Slowing Down Forums
People are being docks over realism. If every game were set on realism, they would all be generic.
