Just wanted to add some stuff about this:

Going off-topic is frowned upon because it's disrespectful to the original poster who created the topic and the people who actually want to discuss what the topic is about. If a couple people just go off and have some random conversation in the middle of the topic, people who have something useful and contributing to add might feel uncomfortable adding it because they don't want to interrupt the off-topic members' conversation. I know I feel like that sometimes. >__>

Plus it just keeps the site more organized in general. No one wants to sift through pages and pages of spam and off-topic crap just to find a post that's actually relevant.

Like RedDragonX said, it's OK for a couple of posts, but doing it in excess is not good. Those are the rules here; every forum is a little different, but most forums I've been on have this basic rule of staying on-topic. [/endrant]

I sometimes go off topic, but I never say "going off topic is a good thing and it's fun." You're just *bleep* lucky you aren't on my forum cuz I would've delete d your account without warning

Maybe, but there were no other moderators on so I had to clean up the whole f**king mess and it was very tedious. Especially when they create new topics and just spam it and give them stupid names like "draegunz" and post pictures of fruit.

I wouldn't recommend trying to discuss dragon yiff in PMs either.... Bad idea. All the forum rules still apply to private messages, and that means no content like that.
