Re: General Discussion 3
What exactly is a "prom"? I know it's another American thing, like spelling bees, and being too lazy to carry all of your books at one time.
No we have them in England too Aceedwin. You'll more than likely have one. It's just a dance like ontels said. We had a buffet (although the food was awful) and a disco.
It was so fun, I loved it!

Re: General Discussion 3
There's a sixth form ball where I am. I suppose that's the same. It has food, dancing, short skirts, flowery hats, and general weariness for the rest of the school.
That said, it's better than what happens when the fifth form leave. They're let loose without rules, so there's egging, water balloons, stink bombs (that doesn't feel nice on the tongue), and, this year, we had raw fish. Who knows what they were going to do with it...
It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

Good lord.
Raw fish? Ugh...
We have a sixth form prom too, but also the year 11 one that I went to.

Heh. One guy showed up completely plastered. He didn't half look stupid. I didn't see the point - it would just ruin the evening. Plus he wouldn't have remembered it anyway, so what a waste of time showing up. :-|

Re: General Discussion 3
Good for you!
We had champaign in the limo but I didn't like the taste. I had some to be polite though. It gave me a headache and stomach pains.
I only had half a glass! ![]()

Re: General Discussion 3
It's never really proms themselves that are the problem in America. It's the after-prom... when people head out to beach houses and drink themselves into drunken stupors. I literally watched some of my friends pass out from drinking. =_="

Hehe, my family and I are going to my sister's grad dinner tomorrow, and after that she's off to her friend's house to do exactly what Crump here has already said. She'll be in bed for a long time on Saturday, hoho...

Re: General Discussion 3
Many of my friends had prom parties afterwards that went into all hours of the night. They didn't interest me because;
1. I don't like alcohol.
2. It was 11pm and I'd been to school that day and was already shattered after the disco. :-P
Just the prom was enough for me and it was nice. ![]()

Re: General Discussion 3
My prom was ages ago now, it didn't actually rain for me, though it wasn't exactly all sunshine and flowers....
I had a really nice dress that was royal blue and gradually changed to ocean blue before going back again; I loved it! ![]()
We weren't allowed alcohol at ours, full stop. Though, as with you Saphira, there was champagne in our limo. I didn't go to any parties afterwards, the prom didn't finished until gone midnight.... But it was fun though! Well worth it in my opinion and I hate parties and things like that! XD

Re: General Discussion 3
We weren't allowed alcohol at the actual prom, but my friend who organised the limo ordered the champaign for us to drink on the way. Sadly we couldn't take a long limo journey because one of my friends was VERY late, so we were running late too and we had to go straight there. So we only had about 10 minutes in the limo.
@ Phoenix_Flyer: Your dress sounds amazing!
Mine was black and up to my knees. I got it from Asos.

Re: General Discussion 3
Lol, thanks. Mine was right down to the floor. If its any consolation though, I didn't get much more time in my limo than you either.

Re: General Discussion 3
I got about 30mins in the limo LD it was brilliant with being in it with my mates, just mucking about inside like pushing into each other when it stopped, and also me and my friend shouting joking insults to one another form across the limo, she started it anyway
lol but the other cars were brillaint, the one i was in was a stretched landrover, there were those mobilkity scooters, a big rig truck, Porche 911, Rolls rocye phantom, double decker bus, camper van, there were loads of vehicles
I didnt dance much however as i caught a stomach bug 2 days ago so i wasnt feeling at my best, but i was still dancing a bit sometimes, but it was mostly talking to my friends about memories and other stuff
great night.

Re: General Discussion 3
Hello SpyroForum. Just came to check out what's happening on this side of my fandom.
It's been a while -- don't see much familiar names from this favorite topic of mine, heh...
Well, kind of more inactive now that college is up lol. But whatever, at least it's good to know this site's still not giving up in its glory, ahahaha.

And now for the follow-up:
She came back yesterday night at 2:00am (next morning really), went to the bathroom and had a nice vomit...

Dude, today is Sunday at 9:00 in the morning. My sister needs to get up,
because my parents already left for church. And church starts at 10:00. I
guess I won't be going today. *sigh.* Worship is the best part.
