Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. What matters is EV training, IV breeding, and whether you can make a good team with the level 100s you have.

Because it's my team that's why you don't care. And if you check my first post, I posted my team.

Re: Pokemon teams

The strongest Pokemon I own in any of the games is a Lv. 86 Groudon in Ruby. Not as great as some others on this topic, but it's a cracking good fighter!  wink

Re: Pokemon teams

My team is: Empoleon (mainly because it was my starter), Leafeon, Froslass, Gyarados, Lucario and Flygon (U-Turn annoys my brother to no end! XD). That's the one I've got set up for battles, though I can't figure out the wi-fi system so haven't actually tried them out....
My team in terms of simply the ones I like are: Mystic (Flygon), Adelle (Empoleon), Candy (Shiny Lopunny), Lefayla (Leafeon), Aura (Luxray) and Beacon (Shiny Ampharos).

Re: Pokemon teams

It's all random. You have a 1 in 8192 chance of encountering one whenever you get into a random encounter.

Re: Pokemon teams

I found a shiny Carvanha when I was EVing my Gengar. Unfortunately, it has the exact opposite nature of what I'd need if I were going to raise it. Oh well.

Re: Pokemon teams

I got two shinies by chance: Budew and Buneary. The Budew was scary as I found it in the Great Marsh and was terrified that it would run on me! I'm surprised it didn't, I threw like 10 balls at it....
But there is another way which does work and doesn't reply on chance. You have to chain the Pokemon that you want in shiny using the Pokeradar. I did it to get my Shiny Mareep, had to chain 46 of them.... But I got two shinies once I hit 43, just wanted a male and a female shiny Mareep so kept going! XD
A link to a site which tells you how to do it in a post is here: http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?t=19695
And a YouTube video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCzdv0qjjZI

Re: Pokemon teams

Ah, yeah, I forgot all about chaining, I got my shiny Machop that way.

Also, because "shininess" is dependent upon IVs, breeding a shiny with another Pokemon gives you a higher chance of getting a shiny. Of course, it's still a pretty low chance.

Edit: On second thought, it might not, considering that it's the personality value that matters.

Re: Pokemon teams

I want to get a shiny Moltres, but the only way to do that without using a cheat (which I'm against) or trading is to save it in front of it and keep doing it over and over until its a shiny.... Gah.... Boring ftw!
