That wont ever happen because its working! It may have turned a few people off to the series but those that like it will now buy any game with Cynder in it... its sad but true

Sad part is tha tI used to like Cynder until maybe a week after I finished DotD. Now....she just...ugh, there are only like 2 fans of Cynder that I even like anymore.,...mainly becuase they don't obsess over her.

I admit, I find her background interesting; However, it was all ruined with the way that they took it. I think I may just write a fanfiction of Cynder not being a mary sue in DotD.

Didn't you guy already know about cynder being a playable character before the game came out?

also wasn't this topic name "Does anyone love Cynder"? if it was then we all went off topic the last few pages.

Also this Superior stuff is getting old no one can't declare themselves superior. you just have a little more knowledge than the guy you were arguing to. but there will be a person with a little more knowledge than that person so why say your superior when your actually not?

This topic was originally imposing the idea of someone actually "loving" Cynder I believe...I'm too lazy to go check...but right now the overall ideas are revolving around the annoying presence she has become thanks to some of the fans...so this is still on topic.

Yes we all knew that she was going to be playable and she was fine in the game for what she was....but now we are simply referring to the huge amount of overbearing fans that have turned her image into something that drives us insane from time to time.

If you mean love as in attractive? She is feminine, but she is not even humanoid, so no...

If you mean love as in the game? Of course! She fit right into the storyline perfectly, she turned the gameplay high up for DotD, and was imo the best character in the game (aside from Spyro).

So maybe she was overhyped to death, but I find people that have their own opinion changed because of what other people do very weak-willed and powerless over their own mind. Yes, I am talking about the people who use to like Cynder, but now hate her because of people that hype her. More than half of these posts were made by those people, and I agree, many fans strayed away from Spyro to Cynder, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't like her. That is very weak-willed...

Some people don't exactly like it when they have a hyped up Cynder fan screaming "Cynder is awesome Cynder is awsome!!! She's so freaking HOT!!!!!".....really it is quite annoying.

The character was good in the role they had in her originally...as the villian/antihero. They threw her into this Ally/love interest crap way too easily and made it appear way too cliched. If they were smart they would have made things develop a little bit slower.

As in....instead of having the whole Co Op in DotD and then lover at the end of it...instead she could have just decided at the end that she was really looking to help those whom she had hurt before....instead of becoming the obvious love interest and heroine.

Then they could have at least taken their time to develop the character a bit more.

And yes we've had plenty of kids on here screaming about Cynder being hot and sexy and all the ridiculous stuff...and it gets very annoying.

Wow... I'd totally actually visit the Spyro section of FF.net just to read that. I got so disgusted with the Cynderist stories I gave up on that place and tossed my old account to a friend (hopefully he makes better use of it than I did).

What saddens me is that authors have the opportunity to take what little remains of Cynder's personality and change it to make a more interesting story. Instead they simply make it worse, add 50 cheesy SxC scenes, put a Cynder vs. Ember war in there and weigh it down with 2 tons of cliché. It's as though they have no creativity...

I do not hate Cynder simply because other people obsess over her. Yes, that is part of the reason because it annoys me to no end. But I can't be expected to like a character void of any personality. I don't care how luscious her hips are, I don't care how dark her past is, they had the chance to make a character with a decent personality and missed it.

why do people make such a big deal about cliches? Not every story has to have a twist. Cynder is (as far as we know) the last female dragon spyros age so of course they made her the love interest.
To the original topic, I like her as a character, but I preferred her TEN voice

Cliches simply bother some people...they like new ideas instead of seeing something that parallels an idea already attempted and such. When you see something cliched to that point it gives you the belief that they didn't put any thought into the game pretty much.

Cliches are in everything and they're impossible to avoid...but you can certainly control how many you have if you think about it.

i dont like cynder that much, but with out her in DOTD it wouldnt been the same. I did like her very much as a good character, but at the end of the game when she told spyro "i love u" i was kinda sick, i thought they were related. hmm or am i wrong? any how, also when she said that i kinda got annoyed, wich made Cynder fans go balistic on her and loved her more and more. I dont mind Cynder fans, its there opinion and we cant take controll of it, but people dont need to be nasty about them. Its just that Cynder went a bit over the top at the end lol, so there it is XD
