Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
That phrase was brought up by some guy in the DotD forum when he asked if Spyro and Cynder were officially a couple by the end of the game. It was supposed to be an innuendo of some sort but remembering Spyro and Cynder are underaged in DotD, awkwardness ensued. : |

Not that that matters, they're dragons, not humans.

That would make it a double-awkward.

Depends on how awkward you already feel about the world, personally I don't see anything wrong with it.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
I didn't mean you personally, I meant the general you, as in anyone who reads the post. Of course, that said, it amazes me how serious some people take this, some people actually get offended or angry. Again, not you personally but I think we're getting off topic here.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
While I understand why some people wouldn't be offended by inappropriate jokes regarding "underaged dragons" (because maybe, I don't know, they're used to it or something or for other reasons I won't mention) you also got to understand WHY it is awkward to most. Reading "it doesn't matter because they're dragons" made me feel even awkward... er. : |
First of all, no it wouldn't matter if we're discussing biology and real creatures, but you have to realize this is a game series for children, and even if they're dragons they are obviously personified/anthromorphized and not that far off from being registered in our minds as human-like.
Just a heads up.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
The children the game was designed for wouldn't be thinking stuff like that. Although, seem as though the majority of the members on this site that are around 12, 13, 14 occasionally younger, continue to post on the topics that revolve around the 'awkwardness' as you have aptly dubbed it, I still don't see it as a problem. Frankly, I don't think children are as innocent as game, film and book writers believe. Not anymore anyway.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
I wasn't talking about the children on this forum or the feelings of ANY children for that matter, I was talking about the game itself being infantile thus making anyone who understands the joke feel awkward or uncomfortable, meaning adults. Wonderful for you if you don't, but not everyone shares the same mind.
Man, it's really difficult to try to explain this whilst trying to maintain appropriate.

Exactly the problem I'm having. I can't argue my point as well as I'd like because I'm trying to watch what I say. And because of our restrictions I don't think we can continue with our arguments so, as you've managed to explain yours better than I have, I'll yield to yours.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
In my honest opinion, yes Spyro did hear Cynder's last words before giving up his own life force (usually in anime stories, when a character gives up his life force, he will remain alive during the duration of the expulsion of his entire being, before dying)
but for those who think you could see spyro's eyes before he gave up his life force, have a look at this recording I made from my playthrough in full blown HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eYBugfy … annel_page
Clearly the camara zooms out way too far to actually tell.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
...but he doesn't give up his life force, you see them at the end quite alive. Even the Chronicler can't find a record of his death. And again, with the ending they gave it's pretty most probable that he heard her.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
as I explained from my video (and again, this is the way I interpret this)
it is to my belief that those were the spirits of Spyro and Cynder, roaming free over the earth
Ignitus says that "when a dragon dies, he doesn't truely leave this world, but their spirits live on, to offer hope for the future"
and also the other piece of info that lets us know they are dead, is the fact that the Chronicler is unable to find any trace of them.
at least, this is how I interpret it
(to add to this, If the Chronicler was able to find Spyro and Cynder down in the dungeon from the very begining of the game, surely he could have found them in the Valley of Avallar out in the open...)

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
I'm pretty sure that he heard her. Again with the ending and all it makes sense....and with my own random ideas I think that what she said allowed him to make sure they were delivered safely through the anarchy following the world's rebirth. Obviously he couldn't respond thanks to Cynder's awesome timing...but he did hear her.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
But the fact that they aren't in the dragon book of dead clearly indicates that they're alive. Ignitus did say when a dragon dies they dont truely leave the world but then what would be the point of the book of death? If they do become apart of the world after death then they'd still be entered into the book.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
Well perhaps what they meant was that each time a dragon's physical body dies then it is entered into the book as a spirit...but who really knows.....but yes, seeing as how they are not in the book then they are both clearly alive.....and hence it is safe to assume that Spyro is indeed aware of Cynder's feelings for him. Seeing as how Spyro didn't run away from her and seemed to be enjoying her presence in the end it's also safe to say that he feels the same way about her.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
Well, this part always gets sketchy, its hard to tell, because indeed we don't actually see anyone writing a new entry in the book, but I think this takes place the moment the chronicler says "I've done my best, but I can't seem to find any trace of Spyro" and then inscribes himself in the book, and is replaced by ignitus.
again, I'm only theorizing this, I could be dead wrong, as there are no real sure answers (:)

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
Each time a dragon dies they are entered into the book automatically....just like pages are added to a dragon's story(life), with each passing event.....nobody has to write it in. Whatever magic the Chronicler wields allows these things to happen without much effort. The power of time seems to handle itself.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
Fair enough, I can't really disprove your theory but I will leave you with one last thought. If you say no one was seen writing in the book wouldn't that imply it writes itself? And if not, wouldn't it be the chroniclers duty to write their names in the book before he moved on seem as though he was the chronicler at the time of Spyro's supposed death?

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
he was the Chronicler from "A new beggining" all the way to the end of "DotD"
anyways, I think Red Dragon may be up to something, and would fit like a puzzle piece with my theory

First of all...what is your theory?...I couldn't really pull a theory out of what you said before that I have not already answered. FB and I are on the same page with this so you need to clarify what you are trying to tell us.

Re: I wonder if spyro heard what cynder said at the end of LOS
Well you made some random point about the books when the Chronicler transfered his duties to Ignitus...but beyond that you didn't really have a point relevent to what we were discussing. You have to clarify the idea so we can at least understand it....and if you know the idea in your head then it shouldn't be that hard to put it in words that we can understand.
We have both clearly stated that the books were maintained by the power of time that was held within the White Islands bounderies and that the Chronicler was merely the caretaker of the records....so nobody would actually write in these books seeing as how they were kept up to date by the powers already present.
Each time a dragon died the page was added into the book automatically....and each time an event happened in a dragon's life then the page describing the event was automatically placed into the book.....so we have no idea what you are trying to tell us that hasn't already been clarified.

Clearly FB understands (I think), as we originally started the conversation, and you joined in, then it got a little jumbled up, lol XD
anyways, I didn't so much try to explain the book itself, I just thought your idea fell into place with mine
