Its ok i guess. I got the first book for christmas and i thought that it would suck but i read it and it was alright i guess. But i hate the people who are obsessed with it. At my school all everyone can talk about is twilight and it is so annoying mad

Its fine. A bit obsessive. The way the love concept in the book works doesn't really appeal to me, but I liked the last half. yikes Drama. It was too repetitive, and the second book became a very large coaster for my coffee. I don't recommend this to a person who is looking for an 'exiting' book, but more of a way to pass some time. :3

Eh...I have nothing more to really say about it. It caters to a certain degree of obssessive fans and what not....but for many that is just pure annoyance on the highest degree.

I knew a few people who were into the series, up until the movie came out and it was counter-mainstream to hate it. Funny, they hated it to try and be different.... didn't quite work.

Well, I've almost finished reading Twilight. (Should have just checked it out from the library instead of reading little bits of it every time I went there tongue ) My conclusion: it isn't that bad.

Yes, there isn't much of a plot. I am aware that there are a few minor plot holes and that Meyer's writing style is far from fabulous. Yes, Bella is a totally obsessed Mary Sue who faints while being kissed. And no, I am definitely not in love with Edward Cullen now. In fact, I am almost at a complete loss as to what I did like about it.

Almost. I think the reason that I read on was that I could relate to the main character and narrator, Bella, not because she's "shy" or "clumsy" or "ugly" (Bella doesn't play that part very convincingly; she has four guys interested in dating her within the first 100 pages of the book) but because of her tentative, almost reluctant exploration into the world of relationships for the first time. I found myself wanting to read on to find out what would happen to the unlikely couple, even if the relationship itself wasn't very believable.

Although it is far from perfect, I'll be waiting for the book to come back to the school library, then I'll finish it and probably move on to the next one. It wasn't the best book I've ever read, but after all that I've heard about its obsessed fans and rather pointless story, I was surprised that it wasn't the worst either.

Well, I read the third book in one day, although now I think it was a combination of reading withdrawal and sheer boredom. x3

I started to read the first one so I would get what the heck was going on... I couldn't get more than three or four chapters in. The halting writing style made me twitch.

Then again, it's no worse than most of the vampire romances out there. It's just more hyped, so it has a larger, more obsessive/annoying fanbase, and so gets more hate--if that makes any sense, which it did in my head.

I don't really care about it one way or another. I'll probably never read the entire series, unless I just happen to have several days' worth of utterly empty time and they're conveniently sitting there. 0wo But I don't think they're worth getting foam-at-the-mouth mad about, either.

Breaking Dawn was the absolute [i]worst[/i[ way pusblishly possible to end the series. I used to love Twilight, but B.D., the fandom (urghhh, don't get me started), and some of the flaws are ruining it. Like Aicebo said, it's obsession, not love. And Bella is such a perverted Mary Sue vampire.
