Re: An interesting trend in video gaming...

going back to the original topic,

I think that yes, in terms of money, the PS3 isn't doing so hot. Which is why Sony quit making them with backwards compatibility to force people buy PS3 games. Which just made it less appealing. BUT, the PS3 is great. Works great, easy to get around, doesn't freeze up. And I can leave it on at night to play music to help me sleep.

But the Xbox360 inevitably failed in my opinion. With the whole R-ROD fiasco. Along with the ordeal with the scratched disks. Yes they have fixed the problem now, but kinda late in the game though. And they're already coming out with the latest Xbox. Whereas they said the PS3 will last for the next decade. Which is a smart thing to say. Because now we're not expecting the next PS3 for at least 6 years (i think). Which gives Sony time to get all the bugs out of the next PlayStation console.

So I would list PS3 as win and Xbox 360 as fail.

Meh, I don't mind the lack of backwards compatability as long there's someone who will patch up my ps2 if it fails.

Re: An interesting trend in video gaming...

Well right now they are saying that the PS3 will have price cuts in April or so...they want to lower the price down to $299...that's the theory anyways...and that's what they should do.

The system is wonderful...but not too many poeple are keen on wasting $400 in today's wonderful economy.
