I'm really scared of ghosts.Sometimes I think the house is haunted.
I cant stand being alone in the dark, either.I always hang blankets over the top of my bed,so I cant see any ghosts if they haunt my room..Unless they start haunting the bed.

I've had a couple of ghost experiences.

(This experience was before I started hanging blankets over my bed.)
I was lying down in bed,but I couldn't get to sleep because I could feel something hitting my leg.I hid under the blanket and I asked "Who are you?".But the ghost just sighed. It sounded like a man.

I've had quite a few dreams about ghosts aswell.

same here i cover my face with a blanklet or a pilow so i can't se any ghost or monsters but i get hot....or whatever thats why i run to my mums and dads room when my nan comes over and sleep i sleep with her lol im such a big chicken bock bock bock me when it is windy i heard a ghost sound but it was not a ghost it was the stupid wind lol......

Re: Ghosts

I've got a story.  It had been going on for weeks.  Okay, so when I was sleeping, I heard this scratching noise on my roof, and I thought I heard somone or something calling my name.  Turned out it was the wind, and a mouse that we found dead in our garage a month later.

Well first of all reeinactor suits arent priceless how do you think evreone buys them.
Secondlly yes it sounds possible that a sychopath or someone with a undiveloped mind could steal one and pretend to be a soilder in the wood.
Thirdlly reeinactors sometimes have private venues were it is just them practasing or something like that.
And finally yes the man could have been lying or maybe he had the wrong information.

Re: Ghosts

That black dog is called Black Shuck. They say if you look into his eyes which are pure red you will die. In 1577 in  Blythburgh. He is said to have burst through the doors killing a man and a young boy he ran through the isles scaring the people and eventually ran out but he scratched at the doors and left three scorch marks. There still on the door to this day. But some people say it's only lighting marks from a storm that day. Others say it was a story made up by the Priest. To this very day there are still sightings of him. Does he excist no one knows. But be warned when your walking a countryside alone at night.

Well you certainly always have a reason for something lol...but yes their costumes are priceless...you have no idea how much that stuff costs to maintain and preserve...go out and find out then let me know....but it is far from cheap let me tell you.

Secondly the security in these places is very tight and they don't exactly let the avarage physco onto the premises with a gun lol...

Thirdly I highly doubt that the park rangers were all wrong in saying that the reanactors were not scheduled for that day...but I guess it's fair to argue with people who know the place better then you know yourself lol...

And if you really think someone like that would be l ying then you really just have trust issues big_smile...

Re: Ghosts

Well seeing as how that's pretty much the most common sighting on a battlefield...I don't rule it out..especially in uncommon areas.

You still havent explained how that they may be having a private venue. And if the security gaurd had gotton the wrong information.

Allso the costumes are expensive yes but not unreachebull How do you think normall people buy these?

And there is allways a chance that someone is lying.

Re: Ghosts

Most of the guys who do own these costumes are avid historians who have gone out of there way to aquire the equipment...which does add up over time believe me...that and maintaining it also takes a nice chunk of cash.

As for the private venues part...yes they do have private venues all over the place on occassion...but when we asked the rangers about it (not security guards)..they told us that no reanactors were working in this area of the park...and that many incidents have been reported about the same thing.

Someone could always be lying yes...but for what reason and for what motivation would a national history park ranger have to lie to paying customers who had an experience out of the ordinary.

There is a big difference between costumes and actual uniforms that most reanactors use. Some of them are hand me downs from as far back as the Civil War itself...so they are worth a great deal all together...and if you count the muskets, canteens, and all the other equipment...yeahhhh..

As for the acting thing why would an actor who is on break be out in the middle of nowhere crawling around in a restricted section and then just suddenly disappear into thin air?....not feeling that..

Well it was an experience I had with two others...and we all believed that it happened...so I'm not totally crazy...besides if I was it would really show lol...but going on some kind of paranormal experience sounds like it would be pretty interesting.
