Like I said, I understand what you're trying to say, Aceedwin, but I just can't agree. I mean, yeah, if they would have just kept cranking out the same thing over and over, yeah, it would get old, but as long as they can add some new things once in a while, it'll stay fresh. There wasn't any need to change it completely. Aren't there still platform games kind of like original Spyro that are doing well in today's market, maybe even better than TLoS? If there aren't, then OK, maybe I'm wrong, but I can't think of a single "limitation" that would cause them to have to stop making games like that completely.

There aren't. Sonic turned into spin off world, Mario's a carter, Crash followed Spyro into endless battling world, Rayman is a rabbit, Jak? He's a racer. Ratchet is also endless battle, but with guns!

So yeah.

Hmm. Kind of a shame, then, is all I have to say. I don't like many of the games they come out with nowadays, so I kind of figured as much, but that's too bad they don't make good games like the classics anymore.

Mario, though, I don't really see a problem with... but then again I haven't really played any of the very recent games.

Yeah well we will never know what their true reasons for doing it are....yeah I'm just as sick as the rest of you in debating over it.

And I did know that you were disagreeing with Ratchest...idk why I just pointed it out for some reason....just me and my mentally exhausted thinking I suppose.

I don't know what the series would have been like should they have kept going.....and none of us never will....if they kept adding occassional elements it might have worked...but for whatever reason they thought differently.

All we can do now is watch to see what they do now....and many of us wish that it would happen....but yeah odds are it never will....

They wont say anything for awhile...their is a movie coming out in less then a year...I'm pretty sure that we will not hear any further news until we get closer to that release or after the movie comes out all together.

No lol..they have no need to. They just released a game 4 months ago...they will take quite a break before doing anything else...specially with the movie.

Woah...I just checked the posts recently... Oddly I was unsubscribed from the topic as well. I guess there is a time limit or something happened...and what a volleyball match that was. The funny thing is that the "limitations" and the money making are both related to each other but the limitations are focused on more. If you put the hard work into making an idea(s) into a game then you will get something positive back from the market regardless of what some might say about it.

Well I just get the feeling that with this movie coming out that's about all they need to worry about for now. That and I can see them simply waiting to see just what kind of response they shall receive from the fans. This in turn would motivate them to create more games perhaps.

I think the movie will be a movie version of tLoS and little new will be added to the Legend of Spyro.

Hm..well I'm not really believing anything right now until more sources are released....but as far as I know it's about the first installment in the series...ANB...and hopefully the sales will do well enough to allow production of the other two games after that.

Well Sierra has their reasons just as Insomniac had their own as well....but all of them are at least trying to garner some kind of respect for the series...so I don't take any credit away from any of them. We are not the ones designing these games...and we don't know who is putting what effort into them...all we have it the finished result...but I do try to look through the negatives and into the positive side of things....

The next move is anyone's guess...many ideas exist that could really improve this trilogy...now if Sierra has any intelligence whatsoever they will find ways to build upon what they have started instead of running it into the ground.
