My theory of the future of Spyro

I've thought ever since Insomniac Games (Is that the right spelling?) sold the rights of Spyro that, Spyro games have become less original, repetitive and most of all boring, after enter the dragonfly I just haven't played attention to the Spyro series. My theory is that the Developer's of Spyro will run out of Ideas and have to close down the spyro series.

Yeah, I'm guessing you're right. Although they are making money off the news games, so maybe they'll keep that style of Spyro still. I totally agree with your points though.

ur rigt casue i read an article y Insomniac Games sold spyro and it was because spyro dosent hav all teh qulaities a human does eg hands to hold a gun so tehy were very limited to what they could do wiv spyro. anyway we r lucky to hav these legend of spyro games casue another article i read was taht spyor was gonna get closed down after AHT so im glad that he managed to pull through to the games that r around now so b grateful that he has been around 10 yrs but i tihnk teh movie might ruin him and teh only + side to it is they might do merchandise so they can claw abk money if it goes wrong but it if it does go i will be sad but not all good things can last foreva sad

Spyro won't be dieing out anytime soon, I love the new LoS series, and so do alot of people in and outside these forums. Probably the greatest thing to happen to our favorite purple dragon.

I'd like to point out that a return to the old-style seems far-fetched at this time.

And imho, Insomniac sold Spyro cause they got lazy:
"OMG! He can't hold a gun! We need guns for all the cool stuff!"

I mean, they've come up with some inventive weaponry (ex- any Ratchet and Clank game, another favorite of mine), but apparently they can't think of any creative attacks that don't come out of a gun barrel. That seems incredibly narrow-minded.

Why is it stupid? Dragons aren't excluded from doing anthromorphic things in the fictional world. I mean Mickey Mouse drives a boat. HOW STUPID. He's a MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Simply Insomniac got bored with Spyro, and wanted to do something different. I'm sure they could've invented up new ideas for him, but they couldn't be bothered.
Insomniac wont take back Spyro, full stop. And we dont really think the original Spyro will come back. TLOS is making Sierra alot of money (even though it sucks) and they dont want to take any more risks like bringing the original series back. But i'm sure if they did, people WOULD buy it!

how many people loved the old series when it was still in its prime? id be willing to bet there was a lot more than those who give a crap about this series, and yet look what happened, it might not happen today, it might not happen tomorrow, but when it does, man, take a picture of your face cuz i want to see it

and for the record, the greatest thing to happen to spyro was his conception and subsequent sequals (tautology?) the worst thing to happen was the failed attempts after insomniac left, followed closely by our poor little purple hero being strapped to a table getting shocked repeatedly by lightning having bolts stuck through his neck whilst his new owners dance and chant "ITS ALIVE! if you can call it that ALIVE! if you can call it that"

You can't expect dragons to use their magic or powerups for everything, can you? I mean, they're only a few teps ahead of Humans and that's perfectly OK.

or give it another reboot sticking to the orginal with ember and cynder it in where they don't turn evil and having spyro and side charaters more involved.

Well, I for one like the new series. Sure, TEN wasn't a very fun game, and the movie has a 99% chance of being horrible, but if Entranges makes the next few games, then there is still hope.
