Legendaries are cheap. A curse upon anyone who overuses them in 2-player battles.

That's why I don't use legendaries-not much fun playing with them.

Re: What are you know for.

Me and Stormy like to have Legendary battles sometimes. : P

I raised a team now, and I'm doing pretty good in the Battle Frontier. I wish I had a DS so I could play against real people.

Re: What are you know for.

I like to bring out my "baton-passing Eevees" when I feel like being cheap. My strategy is that I have a party of 6, all evolutions of Eevee, (excluding Flareon, because I can't keep seven) and they all know the move "baton pass." What I do first is bring out an Umbreon, who has an annoyingly high defense, "mean look" the first Pokemon, then I proceed to use double team while my opponent can't switch, sometimes using moonlight to heal, and after the stat is high enough, I baton pass to the other Eevees that resist whatever my opponent has, (mean look is still in effect when you use baton pass, so I still don't have to worry about my opponent switching) use some stat raisers, (all my Eevee evolutions have one except Glaceon) then start taking the opponent's Pokemon down one by one after all the stats I needed have been used, sometimes baton passing to another Eevee if I feel as if the one I'm using won't take it down easily.

This strategy has hardly failed me except that one time someone sent out a Machamp for their first Pokemon and got lucky with a critical hit after already raising their attack. sad (but that person knew my strategy, thus knowing what to bring out first) But yeah, this cheap tourneyf** strategy is a gamble anyway and I try not to use it unless I want to really annoy the person, heh. At least it got rid of my husband's Wobbuffet which was driving me nuts, but luckily baton pass could bypass its arena trap.

Haze kills your strategy immediately, Kazoobie.

Heh, someone should start a Pokemon thread.

I don't have a big strategy when it comes to my team, but Ludicolo with Rain Dish Ability, Toxic, RainDance, Surf, and Giga Drain works very well. Recovering HP with Leftovers and Rain Dish. It's great for defense, and not that bad at Sp Atk either. Then I have a Salamence for my Physical Sweeper. I also have a Starmie or Gengar I like to use. I don't have a full team yet, because the in-game Battle Frontier you have a team of three. I'm working on raising a Tyranitar, Blissey, and Metagross also.

Sure, if someone had that on their first Pokemon. Otherwise my speed stat would ensure my first hit for the kill.

Not if the hazer has a high enough defense/special defense.

Sounds like a Weezing would be big trouble then.

Re: What are you know for.

Well, it's kind of happened once, in which I got the first hit but it didn't KO it right away, then the opponent used haze, then I made it faint on my second turn, switched to my Umbreon again after the other Pokemon was sent out and repeated the process. Like I said, it's a big gamble anyway and I only use it with friends.

LIKE I SAID.

I really doubt any of my friends would have so many Pokemon with stat-aways unless they're really out to get me. sad

Re: What are you know for.

Well, if we're going into the whole subject of how people categorize it, I really don't like the genre in general. But there are gems that I like, such as Cowboy Bebop and Studio Ghibli's stuff. I just prefer to consider them as animation in general rather than glorifying the whole "japanimation" thing by considering them being anything similar to crap such as Azumanga or School Days. I mean, there's animation done in all sorts of countries, but how come they're not labeled as anime is?
