In your 'real' life (that is, away from the internet), would you think of yourself as being an introvert, or more of an extrovert? Or somewhere in between?

Do you see yourself as being an optimist or a pessimist?

If you want to, you can mention other personality traits or conditions that might be relevant to you (eg. if you think you are funny, or argumentative, or autistic etc).

I believe I am an optimistic introvert, although I'm starting to talk a lot more as I get older.

Definitions, if you are unsure what Iâ€™m talking about:

Introvert: A person whoâ€¦
- is a good listener
- is probably not the life of the party
- is more difficult for others to get to know
- thinks before acting.
- is energized when alone, but energy is drained while around other people.
- Doesn't mind being alone. Likes to read, write, draw, watch TV or use computer etc, when alone.
- is in a group that makes up 25% to 40% of the total population.
- Note: this is not the same as shyness. Shyness is brought about out of fear, whereas an introvert chooses to be how they are simply because of preference.

Extrovert: A person whoâ€¦
- is a good talker
- is the life of the party (or tries to be XD)
- is easy to get to know
- thinks out loud
- is energized when around other people, but energy is drained when alone.
- gets bored when alone (well, there are exceptions).
- is in a group that makes up 60%-75% of the total population.

Optimist: A person whoâ€¦
- has a positive/bright outlook on life.
- sees a glass with some coke in it, as being half full.
- always sees something positive in a situation.

Pessimist: A person who...
- views life in a negative or bad lightâ€¦ has a depressed (?) outlook on life.
- sees a glass with some coke in it, as being half empty.

I am an introvert, then. smile I used to be a pessimist when I was going through some hard times, but I'm fine now.

Im a introvert,optamist thoue I do try when Im around other people and some have said Im pretty funny but most of the time I like being on my own

Im an introvert with people who i don't really know but then i'm more of an extovert with people who i know. Im probably more of an intovert though because I'm used to being alone because I'm an only child. Im also probaly more optimist but sometimes I can be a pessimist.

Introverted optimist. I'm a very strong one at that; for every one hour of socializing, I need three to recharge by myself. People tire me (as much as I love my friends). XD
I'm happiest when I'm alone. I'd love to be a social butterfly, but it's just not my nature, and being homeschooled gets me teased as 'socially retarded' when, in fact, it's just personal preference. GO FIGURE.

Viewing the cup as half full makes everything else look better. :3

I'm pretty much a loner. I don't mind being alone so that I could draw, use the comp ect. but around other people (in person) I tend to got sooooo nervous. Except with Meghan. I trust her. my problem is though, I tend to see things alot. I don't mean like, "Oh look. I have a UFO on tape and do you think i'm seeing things?" No. That is a possiblity. I'm talking about, "Spyro! hey! Nice to see you again." or "Have mercy Inuyasha! I'm only ten! Don't use Wind Scar on me please!"

Introvert Pessimist probably. Not such a great combination. I'm very quiet at school, prefer to be alone, and usually think negatively.

I am definitely an extrovert. I really don't mind being alone. I can spend hours reading. I stayed up until 2 in the morning when i was reading a really good book. I cant remember if it was Eragon or Twilight. However I don't like the feeling of being alone. I would spend some time with friends and family.

I like to be in a darkest part of the room with other people as well. I think that i am more relaxed when it is dark. It is really interesting that you brought this up. Today at school I thought about how I am different out in the open. I am much more honest on a forum than i am in a group. I think if you guys where around when Razz was here we compared each other and I tried to convince her i am more weird than she was. Then I said that people like us have very little reason to hide our weirdness since its there is no way we can hide our .

I bet no one on here besides Razz is more weird than I am. I am a guy with a journal, I have imaginary friends, and i even like it when girls give me a hard time. Like if they are laughing about what i say it makes me happy to know that i am noticed. I let girls make it hard for me to be normal. I think most girls think it is fun to make it hard for the guys to approach them but me i actually laugh at myself.

I will be honest I hate it when they make me look as if i was a perv. I don't like it when they ask me personal questions. Like what i do when i am alone at night. I especially hate it when some one puts me down for the way i believe. I have asperger syndrome where i have these weird obsessions and when ever i get a new obsession no one is able to get me to stop obsessing.

Sometimes, I'm different everyday. I may be quiet around others yet hyper by myself. Or I could be the opposite. Ya never know with me! big_smile That was just an example.

I could have given you (and Razz perhaps?) a run for your money a few years ago. I had some very weird mannerisms and I reacted differently to the stimulus around me, and I used to have these crazy hypered obsessions, especially in the weather. I've largely grown out of most of that now. Which leads me to my next response...

I have asperger syndrome where i have these weird obsessions and when ever i get a new obsession no one is able to get me to stop obsessing.

Yay, I'm not alone.

well lets see,

I'm VERY spontaneous,
I don't care what random strangers think of me,
I cut my nails so that they look like CLAWS,
I'm am a very nice person (if not extremely hyper XD) but if you mess with me, or my friends, I can turn sour VERY quickly,
I don't believe in nonsense fighting, I play mind games to get back at people. XD
I am sorta weird I guess you can say, but I don't care. XD

I lean more towards an optimistic extrovert. But I don't have a problem with being alone or quiet. I usually find ways to entertain myself. :-P
