Sephiroth: *reveals his black wing on his right shoulder and turns around* Do you see now what Shin-Ra's done to me? Genesis Rhapsodos and Angeal Hewley... my two best friends, they were the same, they were experimented on. Genesis had a black wing from his left shoulder, and Angeal a white wing from his right. All of us went insane after finding out about the experiments that were done on us. That doesn't excuse the things Genesis and I have done, but I want to be different, I want to be the way I was before I found out what I am, before I went insane. I want to regain my sanity. I'm not looking for yours, Cloud's or anyone else's forgiveness, I only want to make things right, to help.

Sephiroth: I won't fight you, I don't want to hurt anyone else. *sees the Lifestream coming up out of the planet* What the? Wait a minute... it must be Aerith. *it wraps around him, Tifa and Cloud* What's going on? I've never seen or heard of the Lifestream do this before!

Sephiroth: I'm doing nothing! I was only able to control the Lifestream when it was afflicted with the Geostigma. The fact that it's bright green again, before the Geostigma, doesn't that ring any bells to you? Aerith's controlling it obviously, and all the other Cetra. I couldn't control it even if I wanted to.
