Do you love Cynder or hate her?

Cynder seems to be a character that most people either love or hate. So i was wondering, do you love Cynder or hate her? I dont hate her or love her. I dont like her much though.

In between hate and love. I like her a tiny little bit(entirely because of Razz), but not too much. She's alright and has a lot of potential, but to me, her personality leaves to be desired, resulting in her being... a tad boring. DON'T SHOOT!

I mean, Cynder wouldn't be all that bad if people just stopped obsessing over her like she's a god or something. So, from that, I've learned to hate Cynder I guess.

Exactly my thought. Also, as I mentioned numerous times, I love her design on most of her versions.

If they ever by some miracle decide to return to the original style of the games, I wouldn't mind her making a return as a regular character, as long as they fix her character up and make it go with the old humorous and colorful atmosphere somehow... And as long as she's not Spyro's love interest, but that's only my Elora fangirl talking. xD I might actually give it a try in re-making her character myself sometime.

I think Cynder has an interesting story, just like Spyro in this series. So I love her! I support SpyroXCynder, but I don't go around annoying people about it, so I wouldn't be considered a "fantard."

Sorry for the double post, but I felt like ranting all of a sudden.

Seriously, what's there to hate about Cynder? The fact that she has A LOT of fans? (me included) I know I sound like a complete fantard here, but I don't care! :devil: The reason most people like her so much, is that she has a really interesting back story! That's the reason I like her. I'm starting to get the feeling that you all hate her because she was evil in the past, but she's GOOD now, so what's the problem with her?! I don't see one. And if you don't support SpyroXCynder, then who's left to support? SpyroXEmber?! (NO WAY!!!)

Well, that's the end of my little rant...

I don't think she's perfect in that sense. And I still don't see why people have to hate her!

I don't see why you're so bothered by the fact that a handful of people don't love her. You obviously aren't aware of the hoardes of fans she has who are unreasonable, annoying, and bash other characters yet regard Cynder as utter perfection. Do NOT make me give examples of the crud Cynder fantards spew about Ignitus, and what they say is never even justified or true. If she was actually a character who I found to be really great and all, I'd simply ignore them, but I don't find her to be all that great, so she simply isn't worth it for me. If it were Ignitus in question, I'd jump into a pit of venomous, blood-sucking fantards for him, because he's worth it to me. But Cynder? No.

And I'd hate to have to say this, but she IS overrated. It's fine if she has fans, but when she is more popular than the main character himself, there's a problem. Why don't we just call this series The Legend of Cynder? She has way too many fans. The other characters are hardly even paid attention to and mostly because of her, and by all means she's NOT the second most important character to the plot.

Also - I'm afraid that's a rather bad logic on your part regarding the whole "relationships" thing. Who says we have to support a pairing at all? I personally don't care if Spyro hooks up with anyone at this point. If he hooks up with Cynder, fine, I won't mind, but I'm no big supporter or anything. I'm frankly more of a supporter of Ignitus and Spyro's father-son bond, but that's because of my own personal preferences when it comes to bonds. I prefer parent-child bonds over boy x girl.

Lastly, no one hates her because she "used to be a villain". That's stupid, and I don't know why you even said it.

Rant over. Just drop it, not everyone in this fandom has to LOVE LOVE LOVE Cynder. Be glad she actually IS loved a lot to the point where the criticism is nonexistent. Go around the net and you'll find at least 50 people who have "Cynder" in their usernames. I don't know why you're moaning on this issue :-|. Note that not everyone on this forum votes in the polls, so just because 98.8% of the votes don't say "I love her!" doesn't mean she isn't loved.

No, you didn't go to the point where I dislike you. You're one of the reasonable Cynder fans as far as I can tell, plus you're one of the people who think Ignitus is Spyro's biological father >.>. I just felt bothered by the fact that you were defending her when she wasn't really in need of it, especially if you look around the fandom.

Lol, there are more Cyril fangirls than you think. Actually, I think he's the most popular guardian amongst girls, and I can sort of imagine why, lol. Each of the guardians has a few fangirls, actually. But at least the majority of them are reasonable, which is a good thing.

I personally don't like her at all. *shrug* that's just me. I only like her as her big version and I love drawing her larger form.

Haha one time I made a SXC AMV where Cynder's big version and Spyro were in love with eachother. xD

Just my two cents on things unmentioned:

All her fans keep saying Cynder has this personality, but where is it? If you can explain it to me based on canonical evidence, I'll gladly stand corrected. The only time I saw personality was when she was under the control of the Dark Master, which is actually a bad sign. Truly, if what she was displaying in TEN and at the end of ANB was personality, then I'm sorry, but that's some sloppy and boring character development. Actually, when I first heard her speak at the end of ANB, I knew it was going to be bad. Then I saw that special trailer for TEN, and performed the biggest *facepalm* ever. How in the world can someone who hasn't been able to LIVE on her own free will all her life know exactly what to say and be so cheery? There is a flaw here and you know it. And although I am not officially stating anything yet, not even the short glimpses of DotD cutscenes have proven to me any changing potential; you can tell a lot by a character's body language and expressions, and what I have seen so far is not convincing me.

Also, if she was truly meant to be Spyro's love interest as people keep insisting, then that just makes her even more dull and cliched to me. Why? Because now we have the trilogy's noble, golden-hearted and simply flawless male lead, and we have the unreasonably mopy and misguided heroine whose entire reason for moving on and having self-worth comes from a loyal devotion to the mary-sue hero. (Jesus, Dominic Deegan anyone?) At least this is what I am gathering from TEN; once DotD is released, I can make proper judgment, but to me it doesn't seem likely for the dull fuel-the-mary-sue-character relationship to be repairable.

Also about her being hot... I myself am fully attracted to men but I'm not afraid to admit when women are hot. However, I'm not... Attracted to... Dragons...... :[

There's a a tiny bit of personality. She IS overrated, and has recieved very little character development; besides depression. They showed a little more in that minimovie on Spyro's Lair, but she has little to no personality. You can see potential, but there actually isn't much. Hopefully, they change that in DotD.
