Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

Activision Blizzard did make the games StarCraft and Diablo, and WoW, but Activision alone made a (now old) popular futuristic RTS FPS game, the game is called BattleZone...one of my favorites, but I can't get my BZ2 to work anymore X_X.

Agreed completely. You don't have to play it, but you should know some of today's media and culture. Get with it.

What are you saying? It's bad that I don't know about some stinkin game?!

Agreed completely. You don't have to play it, but you should know some of today's media and culture. Get with it.

Do they advertise it on TV or something? Because I don't have cable! Just because I've never heard of it doesn't mean I don't know anything about today's media and culture! Sheesh!

Didn't know, sorry. But when I'm looking at the names of those games, they are kids games, if I'm correct. Try playing "serious" games. smile

She is 11 years old, she has every right to play "kids games". You may not like them, but that might be due to the reason you are 21. :roll eyes:

I don't think it is that odd that an 11 year old girl hasn't heard of World of Warcraft. I mean, that kind of game doesn't really suit someone that age anyway. I don't think I would like it much either to be honest.

A little rude there bmah. Give her a break.

Ok guys, calm down, if she didn't know of WoW, so what, she just didn't know. And WoW is advertised many different ways...I forgot the most common way.

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

Sorry then. Now you know though.

It's like someone not knowing who's Britney Spears. You'll definitely get some responses if you didn't know who she was. But no one said you had to like her music or lifestyle to recognize her figure. Same goes with WoW. At least on the internet, it's a widespread thing.

Funny enough, I saw some kid last weekend who was 10 years old and he was playing Runescape! You'd think that the game wouldn't cater to someone's interest at 10 huh?

If you don't know much about WoW, well at least know this:

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

Now a WoWish Spyro might not be bad, RPing with your friends and such, but yea...NO P2P (pay 2 play), SHEESH! And...everyone knows that Activision is more into making rated T and M games, might not be long until the ruin Spyro's kid friendliness.

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

I currently pay membership for Xbox Live ($5 month) and for Star Wars Galaxies ($15 month, same as all WoWs), so if they do make a WoS (World of Spyro ROFL!!!), it better be a $5 month game, not another $15-$20 month game.

If you like Runescape, maybe you'll like WoW. I'm still surprised that you haven't heard of WoW before. I mean, wow. (lol)

It won't take time off of DotD, they said it's going to release in October and still will be.

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

Most are, but your computer has to be pretty high-end for today's games...and PC games have A LOT more features, like downloading extra things off of sites like filefront.com

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

If you like Runescape, maybe you'll like WoW.

Maybe. I asked my mom if she knew about it, and she said that a lot of people become addicted to that game.

She even knows one guy who's girlfriend broke up with him because he spent too much time playing WoW and not enough time with her.

I'm still surprised that you haven't heard of WoW before. I mean, wow. (lol)

lol. Bad pun alert!

I've actually heard a rumor about WoW that 2 people have died from it due to how addictive it is.

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

i heard that thousands of people have died because of alcohol, its just that addictive

does that mean alcohol is bad... well kindof... but more so it means that there are people in this world who are weak minded and need to learn to control their actions, i play WoW and its very simple for me to say, no WoW tonight, i have other stuff to do.

people have died from being addicted to WoW (im pretty sure) but dont make the mistake of blaming a game for someones actions, you might as well join jack thompson in blaming videogames for violent behaviour and the like

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

You're pretty disciplined, Fletch. Easy to say, but not everyone is like you in that respect.

I've heard of the story where a baby of two Korean couples died from negligence because the parents were too busy playing WoW. WOW.

And don't forget that people sell virtual WoW items for hundreds of dollars because many items are rare. WOOOW.

If the parents are too idiotic to actually look after their freaking children, then they should not be parents.

Re: Activision Blizzard own Sierra

Fletch_Talon, A Guy: Exactly! It is really sad how many people blame games for everything.

Taco Godess: WoW is MMORPG and it eats money. Try Warcraft III instead. It is fantasy strategy with RPG elements and you don't need powerful PC to play it.
