Who is the most overrated character in the series?

I must admit,Cynder is over-rated.(But i still like her.XD)

Maybe she has so many fans,because shes the only female dragon in LOS,so people feel sorry for her.But thats just a theory.

Most overrated character? Ember. She had three lines and spoke all of them in the most annoying way possible, but everyone loves her and thinks she and Spyro are in love (despite Spyro's very obvious horror and disgust at the mere mention of the idea; I'm not even making this up, just look at his face when he talks to her!). I hear she was somewhat redeemed in Shadow Legacy, but a lot of people haven't played it (including me) so I can't count that one.

I've played Shadow Legacy. Let me try and remember what she said...

Before you rescue her...
"Hey! Spyro! It's me, Ember!"

After you rescue her...
"I thought I would go crazy in there! And you! You've gotten sooo strong. Hmm."

"Hey dreamboat! Aren't you going to rescue the other dragons? Thanks for rescuing me first, though. *sigh*"

She said something else, but I couldn't remember. Anyways...

After rescuing Bandit...
( to Bandit) "Hi. I'm Ember. Hee hee."

"Hey Spyro! You have something for me? Gosh.. Spyro.. gosh! I-I gotta go! Can you... can you tell Bandit that I say... yes?"

"I know I'm not allowed to go out to the cliffs, but that Bandit is sooo dreamy! *squeal*

Hmm.. yeah.. she didn't get much better, did she?

Once she started stalking Bandit, I didn't hate her as much. But I still think she's vastly overrated. In her entire career as a Spyro character she appears to have less than ten lines between two games. This is not enough to make her eligible for Spyro's affections.

[sub]I totally agree, ontels. Those characters as love interests just seems stupid and unoriginal to me. Oh noes, a female character, Spyro must love her. -__-

If there were a female dragon character somewhere in between Cynder, (depressed, dark, black, and evilish) and Ember (bubbly, pink, and way too happy) in other words a more realistic personality, I might be more into the whole fanshipping thing. Plus there needs to be an actual implication of love interest between the two characters, and I'm not seeing it with either.

Hmm...

Alright, so there are a couple of characters who are overrated in terms of shiping qualities, but I don't believe there is a character who truly is overrated, in the sense of having a dominance, either in the games or in the fandom. Yeah, Cynder can sometimes creep along the line with her back-story and all that, but no one seems to have enough "awesomeness" to overshadow everyone else, and make them annoying.

My theory is because Sierra finally dumped a cliche on the spyro games. -_- It pains me to always find 'dark' dragons everywhere these days. This irritates me, but im not going to subject myself to ranting about this.

I think I have already posted here, but, yes, the most overrated character is indeed Cynder.

Lanara the whole LOTS series is full of cliches. hero rises from obscurity/ Check. Finds he is foretold in prophecy? Check. Destined to save the world from evil? Check. I could go on. As for Cynder and Spyro, My philosphy is Vater Bruder Lieber.Father, Brother Lover. Or "fruend-Friend" if you prefer.Spyro's main relationships in the series are with Ignitus-father, Sparx-brother and Cynder-lover OR friend in that order. The First two were developed in ANB, the third will be developed in DOTD. Not to say that any are more important than the others, all are equally importantin my view.Cynder isn't overrated, imo, she plays a big role in the plotline, even if she doesn't have many lines. i understand if some of you think she is overrated, I disagree on that, but I understand if you think thatr way.
As fior overrated it would have to be EMber. her appearance in Hero's tail was brief, and extremely annoying. a total flirt, who Spyro- from his expressions wants nothing to do wiith. Spyro at least in LOTS has shown a friendly interest in Cynder, nothing of the sort in A Hero's Tail.

I always pictured her as a quiet, sarcastic, feminist jerk with almost always a frown or uninterested facial expression if she were done right. Pretty much her evil form in ANB except with good intentions and not under mind control. I know it sounds like a very unpleasant character at first glance, but I think it would be awesome.

"Dark" people don't make fake stories about depression or call themselves dark.

I believe same. Ember reminds me of some chick, 2 years younger than
me, that has a massive crush on me (say 4-5 years), and always followed
me around (at church, too!). I came close to falling for her a few times,
but she was a wad of ... I stop there. The rest of the story gets a bit
personal.

Cynder acts like the mature female in the world that actually respects
Spyro. She doesn't follow him around or crush on him. She isn't his
enemy. People need to lay off about the dumb "Spyro-X-Cynder" thing.
They need to realize that some people are meant to be friends. When
they grow older, say 20s or 30s (dragon years), they could mate up and
have eggs. But people need to lay off about the "Spyro-X-Cynder" deal.

And why does every picture of Spyro show him with a mean face? NEED HAPPY!
