I've always joked around with the concept of Elora/Bianca with friends. We always wonder why almost every other old main character makes appearances in newer games, but not them. So we always say they went off and became lovers or something. xD We just joke though.

Although I would have liked to see them on friendly terms had they continued to appear in the games.

Kazooie: HA! XD I was disappointed that Elora, Bianca and Sheila never came back. Then I played AHT and am so very thankful they didn't. They make fun yuri pairings on a rainy day, though. XD

(But, seriously folks, don't bite at me for being silly. I do like me some yuri, but my Spyro OTPs will always be Spyro/Elora, Spyro/Cynder, and Bentley/Sheila. The yuri is for kicks, giggles, and revenge for all the yaoi. big_smile )

Hee, no worries, Stormy. Time was, I felt the exact same way. Oh wait, I still do (at least when it comes to male characters). I started doing yuri pairings originally just to get back at all the yaoi shippers (they were seriously overtaking my fandoms and ruining them to some extent), but then I started to like them too much. XD But, unlike most yaoi fans, I am honest enough to admit that I am pairing up two girls often just because I think they're cute together/hot or because it's the funniest thing I can think of at the moment. (I do the same with het pairings, too. See: Gaul/Elora. big_smile )

Lol, Elora/Terrador! XD I've seen Elora/Ripto art before; it almost broke me. XD

I've seen Spyro/Flame art, I think. ;_;

I don't think this counts as a spoiler, since it's right in the prologue of the game... But Roxas and Axel were very good friends, and Axel's devotion to him was so great that people, I don't know, thought he was gay or something. :[ Normally, I don't mind boyxboy pairs, I even like some of them, (Guilty pleasure.) but when people INSIST that all of that was canonical romantic overtones instead of simple friendship, it gets incredibly annoying.

I also have the same problem with Phoenix/Edgeworth from the Phoenix Wright series. While the first game did have some amusing lines that could have been taken out of context, they really didn't mean what people thought they did. This pair is EVERYWHERE, and people once again, insist that they're really gay in the game. But they're not. Their friendship was supposed to be really important, but it always has to lead to yaoi. D:

Oh yeah, and just in case you guys think I'm homophobic or something, let me just say I am annoyed when people do this with ANY characters where it's obvious that they're really good friends or like brother and sister. Like Shadow and Maria from the Sonic games. Maria was like a sister or motherly figure to Shadow, that much was obvious, even the character profile of Shadow for the crappy 2006 game says she was like a sister to him. But people insist anyway that they're romantically involved.

i feel exactly the same, it feels like a huge insult to the creator of a character when people misinterpret their creation so severely that their sexuality becomes the polar opposite of what it really is.

its not limited to homosexual pairings either, the amount of people insisting harry and hermione were going to get together was ridiculous, there was no romance between them, but whenever ron was on the scene, him and hermione both displayed textbook awkward moments caused by their feelings for each other (twas quite cute actually)

i dont know if i saw the harry/ginny thing coming until like book 5 or 6 or something, it was obvious she had the hots for him, but i figured it was the typical "best friend's little sister has the hots for him" situation

The awesome thing about the Harmony shipping was that JK Rowling took that opportunity to mock them mercilessly for being such fan brats. The last HP book nearly killed me with all the fake Harry/Hermione moments. XD

It was the Jak and Daxter fandom that did me in. It's very obvious that Daxter likes the ladies, but I have yet to see a single fanfic that shows him and Tess together. Nor have I seen a single Jak/Keira fanfic since "Jak II" came out. Naturally, I couldn't help but wonder what all the girls were supposed to be doing if the boys were pairing up (they can't all have died for having the gall to like Jak), and that was the seed that grew the yuri plant. big_smile The thing that bothered me most about the whole yaoi ordeal is that no one ever takes into account how the characters (male and female) might feel. I wrote a hypothetical fanfic out of spite in which Daxter did love Jak in "that" way, but he would never hurt his best friend or make him unhappy just for such a shallow and selfish reason.

But that's all beside the point. I dislike characters being misrepresented by fans as a general rule, regardless of how they're being misrepresented. This is why I despise Ember/Spyro as much as Spyro/Hunter; it's just too out of character for all involved (except Ember, who is a creepy stalker, but she hooked up with Blink and that ends her Spyro obsession).

Um...I get the feeling I'm completely out of whack over here. If anyone finds my train of thought, please bring it back. (Sorry for the rambley-ness; it's been a very long, very bad day for me today.)

That's how I feel about Sora/Riku shippers. But what also bugs me about it is that kingdom hearts, let's face it, is a KID'S GAME. It was co-developed by DISNEY. And in Disney movies, if there's any pairing at all in the end, it's guy/girl. Bambi/Feline, Simba/Nala, Kiara/Kovu, the list goes on. So why would they think that just because they are best friends that they love each other?

Actually, it was Bandit, a Shadow Legacy armadillo character. Equally as odd as EmberxBlink, but....
