she wouldn't why would she kill the purple dragon spyro she loved.

the thing i want to know is when did she fall in love with spyro i mean it didn't happen at the end of ATN, or in TEN so maybe she falled in love in DOTD

I don't know exactly when it happened lol....but if I had to take an educated guess...it would have been sometime around the end of TEN...when he came to get her despite the approach of Eternal Darkness...so that would be my guess lol...ever since then she was forced to stay with him...and eventually came to enjoy his company...

anyone noticed cynder's reaction to dark spyro it's so funny her eyes go small in horror.

LOL, yeah, soooo random! You saw that too eh! It's wierd, the animations on some of these Spyro games.

perhaps it was a gaming problem like reddragon said or some sort of way dragons looked shocked i dunno i dont know any dragons....

Sometimes when Spyro is shocked/scared/surprised in ANB/TEN I noticed the pupils in his eyes go smaller, too.
Maybe it's how dragons react to being extremely shocked.

Apparantly that's how the animators thought they reacted lol...who are we to blame the animators lol..I'm quite sure that they know more about dragons then we do lol....nah jk...

Some of the animation baffled me, because it's much harder to act in real life rather than to simulate acting in animation. (I study animation and have taken a few classes in acting and theatre that were necessary for the animation course, so I would know.) Somehow they managed to make a ton of baffling animations for body language and expressions that made me cringe. I think the worst one was near the end where Spyro goes

and then bobs his head so swiftly and dips it incredibly low to the ground. As soon as my friend and I saw that animation I instantly went "what >:|" and my friend just looked at me and giggled and then imitated the line and dipped her head really low to the ground. Seriously, what on earth, animators? I even went on a rant about how they should have just made him tilt his head a bit upwards to glance at the sky and then look back at Cynder. Then my friend called me an ani-nerd. sad

lol...well I'm kinda glad I don't know what you do about animation lol...that would kinda ruin things for me...I don't like picking out mistakes like that....like for instance...when he did do that whole head towards the ground move...I didn't think it was that bad....but I'm not gonna be overly critical about it lol. Animation would be pretty fun to study though...I'm sure you have fun picking apart all sorts of things lol....I think I'll just stick to what I do best lol...

No... I don't pick things apart. When it's obvious bad acting, it's obvious. My friend doesn't study animation and she too liked to point out the animation flaws by imitating them. IE. Ever seen Zelda CD-I? Know how they make all those unnecessary movements with their arms? She does that a lot to make fun of it.

Well you do whatever makes you feel good I guess lol....everyone is different....but I'm never really critical about most things...unless it really really sucked of course....but what do I know lol...I don't work with animation or with games...I just enjoy playing them and offering my input.

i wonder what cynder would of been like if she was never taken by gual but Ignutis saved her to.

We one thing for sure she shouldn't blame herself because she would never of gone evil (through ember is evil tongue )

Well..needless to say she would have been quite different....I think anyways....her nervous and rather untrusting attitude might have been different...but then maybe not....who knows lol....it's interesting to think about though lol...

she probaly would of grown up along side spyro in teh dragonfly villedgebut then that would lead to them being adopted brother and sister which would b awkward 4 when they love each other lol if ti happend

Well yeah...but chances are the Guardians would have found them again...because Cynder was the one who almost wiped them out...so they would have been raised as dragons and not dragonflys lol...maybe lol....could have gone either way I suppose lol...

Cynder is a strange but interesting character to me after she just runs off to Gaul in TEN. I know she wanted revenge but the mention of some sort of poison drawing her makes me wonder...if Malefor was locked back into Cortexivity (if that purple crystal thing was it) at the end of DotD then he could still act through her. It would depend on if it can be remotely done or she can or cannot break free of it. A very scary thought that someone could turn on you at any time...*shivers* It's basically like the "Darth Vader" background for Cynder in some way but being forced to do it against their will seems fresh.

I don't hate her but I do feel...uncertain about her.

Hmmm...certainly an interesting theory....it could def be used for future games if they saw the opportunity to use it lol...I think I prolly would if I was producing the games. Her character should have been included a bit more I think....she was really my favorite of the series...expanding on her characteristics would really have improved some things......but that's just me lol.....I hope she isn't evil......still..

Well that would have been something to see indeed...if Cynder even got hurt or...killed....I think that Spyro would have had a nice time going to town against Malefor...that was something I actually wanted to see in the game...Spyro's dark form going against Malefor...would have lead to some real carnage I think.
