First of all, I was and am relaxed. I'm not typing in all caps or using tons of exclamation points. I'm simply stating my opinion.

Before you had stated it as if it were a fact, but yesh, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. You love her and I think there is room for improvement.

It's the really REALLY annoying fans that get to me, don't worry.

Well I just manage to ingnore those kind of fans lol...and I didn't take it as an insult or anything lol...it takes a lot to insult me...but everyone is just stating their opinions..but yes certain aspects of posting make me think that it's meant to be an arrogant comment..but I do appoligize if that's not the way you were taking it.

Character is good...but could have been much much better....just like most characters. We will just have to see what they do with them in the future.

She is the best character in YOUR opinion. I actually like the Hermit more.
Great character complexity and emotions? Well, she was great in ANB, but...
1. She turned emo.
2. She tried to run away so she could find her "true destiny."
3. Got captured.
4. Got captured again.
5. Became frozen in the giant Time Crystal.. or whatever you want to call it.
... I don't find that very impressive...
What gave her character complexity? Was it because she was evil? Heck, Bianca was evil too, you don't see her get near as much attention.
She could have been a lot better. Cynder has the potential to be a good character, but that good character was locked up and replaced with an emo one.

You would say that. x3

Uh....who ever said that she went emo? (I've never noticed it)

I liked Bianca.

"Going emo" refers to herself constantly being pushed over into dwelling on the past instead of shrugging off her critiques and going "whatever man, it was a long time ago and I was under mind control, get over it" which would make sense since she is actually cared for and understood by lots of characters, and she ignores Sparx's comments. If she would have done something like that to everyone else I probably would have liked her more as a character.

I don't really like Cynder's whole purpose anyway. "The female character we are supposed to feel sympathetic for as her entire reason for moving on comes from her nonsensical devotion to the mary sue hero, fueling his annoyingly perfect noble habits even more." The only thing I actually seem to like about her is her design, to some extent. (I like her concept art, just not her design in-game.) If she would have kept her ANB personality and still have been an ally, that probably would have made her a lot better for me.

Good points. It all depends on what you see in characters and in the story..I for one would have liked if they had more then one female character in the story...but I didn't write it....the story was meant to have that feel to it in the one time enemy falling for the hero..we all pretty much knew that it was gonna happen...

I mean if they kept the character the same way that she was in ANB...are you saying that it would have been better if she was the pretty much bad girl ally of the game....rather then the reclusive seeking to make up for her sins girl that they made her out to be...

If they had kept her like she was the relationship prolly wouldn't have worked out the way they wanted it too...but yeah I def see your point.

Well, yes, I would have preferred her to be a "mean character." I think it would have matched her sinister-looking character design more. I always kind of thought she would make a good sarcastic, yet sophisticated fearless character, those that smile on very rare occassions. Also, her being a bit more unknowingly cold due to bluntness, as she was enslaved all her life and it would make sense that she wouldn't know how to behave so socially.

Note, this doesn't necessarily mean the character is unlikeable as the character is still an antihero. There are lots of popular characters like this, such as House. Also Kazooie from Banjo-Kazooie is one of my heroines, but she's a jerk.

As for the love story thing, if she were like that, her realationship with Spyro would certainly be different, but it could still work. I don't really like them together anyway, especially if Spyro's boring character development was left unchanged, but if he was fixed up as well (or returned to the personality from the old games) I probably would have liked the relationship better. Still not by much though, I just don't see the fictional chemistry. I also don't like characters blatantly getting together in a series that keeps going on, even if I like the relationship. I would just rather use my imagination as tension is more fun to see for me. (and also romantic tension earns more money) Unless of course, we're talking about doomed couples. (See: Sweeney Todd LOL)

Well I don't really go for the whole doomed couples thing lol...but yeah I have to agree with you. They could have used the character much better...and developed all of them a bit more.

I liked the pairing in general...even though they really didn't give you anything else to go with....hence why I thought they should have involved some other female characters...but yeah I like romantic tension between characters...and it's a real shame that they really didn't develop it more.

As for the whole personality with Spyro and everything....yeah basically it's two different Spyro's in two different series...but I don't think the character from old Spyro would have gone for any relationship really lol...he seemed like the lone wolf to me.....but that's just me lol....and again it's just my opinion...but I did see the fictional chemistry a bit...but it's different for everyone. I still agree with your points.

Sweeney Todd lol...that movie creeped the hell out of me lol...

Guys, the movie was based on an existing musical that's very famous. The movie was pretty good, the character designs and settings were awesome and I think that despite that they didn't even come close to singing as good as the people from the actual musical, somehow they made a better sequence for the song "My Friends." It probably has to do with how creepy they made their voices sound. It still doesn't beat the Broadway revival though...

Anyway,

Well, probably not in-game, but he could get with someone in the future outside of what we see in the game. Like I said, I prefer tension over couples actually getting together. Old Spyro would probably only have "implied" love interests, so that you may use your imagination.

I don't think it's very fair that Cynder is the only female in TLoS. They seriously need some more female roles. And no, Nina doesn't count. Gah, SpyroxNina would be so... incredibly... wrong

I like it when the main character doesn't actually get together with someone. Like Kazoobie said, it's better to imagine.

Everyone has different views over it....I was upset that they didn't include any other female dragons in the game...thus just leaving Cynder...predictable of course....but I still would have liked the pairing....but yeah imagination is a wonderful thing to use in such a situation.

In a flashback on ANB the Dark Master's "forces" smashed all the eggs.

Unless you're talking about the old series.

Yeah...all the eggs were smashed...at least all the young ones...so that sucks for Spyro and Cynder because they are the only ones under the age of 16 lol...everyone else is literally ancient....but at least they have each other's company lol...

I like Cynder. She isn't one of those female strerotypes in video games. I thought the outlook on her past gave off more interest to the players and how she felt so terrible about all the things she had done. Plus, she makes a perfect mate for Spyro.

I used her a lot more in the game then I did Spyro...her moves had the ability to stun or delay foes...giving you free shots at them...she is especially helpful with those annoying hero Grublins...

Her shadow attacks were the best in the game lol....I could down so many freaking enemies using just that combo...and it was awesome for fighting those annoying hero grublins....Spyro couldn't sting anyone lol....except that big ogre guys..
