Not to mention the North and South poles are due to switch soon (we're about 1,000 years overdue for that!), that will end up killing loads of things. Especially birds and cetaceans which navigate using the Earth's magnetic field.

Thats a load of crap from an advert. The Earth can take way more CO2 then there is at the moment. The problem is the rate at which the CO2 is increasing. I'm all for stopping such a fast shift in Climate, many animals will die before they get a chance to adapt. But get the facts right first! ....Sorry I'm not having a go at you, its the people who wrote the wording on those global 'warming' adverts that I'm annoyed at! And CO2 isn't even the worst greenhouse gas, Methane has 20x the warming effect and CFC's over 3000! Even water vapour has a warming effect, 0.1 to be precise I did it in Biology today. The dinosaurs lived in a time when there was something like 20% CO2 in the air, at the moment there is only 0.04% in our atmosphere. The worry is that it has increased from 0.03% (before the Industrial Revolution) to 0.04% now.

Because of the Principle of Uniformitarianism (can't spell it properly) - meaning the past is the key to predicting the future. And also by studying fossils and using various techniques, which I can't name without looking them up, they worked out the amount of carbon dioxide in the air at various times in the Earth's history (oh yeah one is studying peat cores, same as ice cores but with peat lol). At the time of the dinosaurs carbon dioxide was over 20% of the atmosphere. In the Permian era it was even higher and deserts covered most of the land. Life still existed. And we have just come out of an Ice Age. The Earth was gonna heat up anyway because at the moment the temperatures are waaay lower then they have been in the past. Why are you asking that question when I already gave you the answer in my previous posts?

Nothing is certain, it may not even be CO2 thats causing the 'warming'. Though all of the evidence points to it it may be something else. For all we know they could be entirely unconnected and the Earth could just be warming up anyway. We know what happened in the past but all we can do is predict the future based on what's happened in the past (uniforitarianism). You're right, what if there is no future? What if we get blasted by a meteor and die anyway? What if time is a loop and we are living over events that happened in the past already? Thats all science is, our best guess. Nothing is set in stone.

Heh, thats nothing. An early warning station which listens for people trying to attack us is at Fyling Dales, about 30 miles from Scarborough. Not to mention a massive radio tower on Olivers Mount in Scarborough. If anyone was gonna nuke us we would be one of the first targets.

The Planet warming up could be caused by a number of reasons. One of them could be the ozone layer failing due to greenhouse gases, But i disagree. There are so many reasons that Greenhouse gasses just gets drowned out, and peole are only saying ythat to make themselves worry. it was an avarage of 70oC Back in the dinosaur's age, when humans werent even there! And saying that the earth has risen an avarage of 1o in the past 300 years is just plain funny, Ever watched a weather report? THe temperature alterenates all the time! Couldn't this happen to us let in long term? Scientists have admitted that A tool that they had used to measure temperature failed!

Now polar bears evolved to suit the last ice age, there body was made for the cold of it. When the ice age finished, polar bears were left stranded only on the north pole. POLAR BEARS ARE TOO SUITED TO COLD AND THE PLANET NATURALLY GETS WARMER! Polution is a problem i know, if we dont act, we will soon end up like China. So i agree, The Governments should stop using coal and other polution causing substances, and Money Should be invested in Solar/Electric Cars. AS for endangered species of animals, they will die, we cant help it. they are probably either too suitede to a spacific environment or they are 1# hit list for a predator. and no, HUMANS ARN't GREEDY. Some are and some are not, AS I SAID BEFORE, DO NOT SAY THAT THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE IS THIS OR THAT BECAUSE WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Reddragon obviously has a different opinion to me, see, they are different, they obviously worry alot more than i, they eat vegetables.

Well, I try to forget about these things and enjoy life while I can, so I don't have to go around "Oh the world's gonna end soon! OMG Global warming!".
I try to enjoy myself as much as possible, like going to events and cities, concerts, everything. As much as I can.

Dont worry Misa, i'm not done with this topic yet.
1.Global Warming- Already explained as Fake Or Not to worry about
2.Food- No way hosay, Apples, Bananas, Meat, Grains Have all risen in amont, not decreased since the birth in humanity. Unless something drastic happens our Food supply is good. maybe in 10000 years but who knows then
3.Water- I dont know, but i dont really think so. Desalination & recycling water will become alot more doable in the next 50 years, and may countries/parts of the world are overflowing with water. maybe in 10000 years but not now.
4.Wars- I dont think the whole population is going to be wiped out by wars. Our population is growing and growing.

Some people are overreacting too much. There's no need to start freaking out right now. Even at this rate, we still have another couple hundred years.
Also, technology is great. We're starting to see more "green" nowadays. Hybrids are becoming more affordable, house appliances are going "green", and there are even new houses being built called green houses. Not that all glass building with plants inside, but this:
