Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
The fact that the images of sleva were hosted on vampirefreaks is really disturbing. >.>

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
don't grow your hair out long. trust me. it's more trouble than it's worth.
it's really hard to frame a male face well with long hair too.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
Haha. True.
About a year ago, I had hair that came down to about my shoulders. My sister's hair was very similar. Our faces looked similar too. I could've easily passed as my sister, lol. :-P
I ended up getting it cut after that. Much shorter, but not too short. Just perfect for me. ![]()

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
My hair was down to between my shoulder blades for a long time.

A few reasons not to:
When it gets to a reasonable length where you can actually do something with it, like actually have it long and flow and maybe go into a style you want, it takes way too much time to do all that. Even drying it takes forever.
Also:
In the time in between (going from shorter hair to longer hair) you look like a total dork. When your hair just kind of looks like a bushy poofy mess because it can't really go anywhere, you're going to look silly. Trust me, it's a better idea to keep it short.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
In the front it doesn't go down that far, because even though the hair is the same length all over, in the front it has a further distance.
in the back, the hair near the very edge of my neck was the same length, putting it between my shoulder blades.
it's not too clear, but you can see how far back my ponytail went

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
Oh, sorry I misunderstood.
But just believe me, in the long run people will think you look better with shorter hair, especially when you start filling out when you're older.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
Because, emo is one of the most despised cliques you can get into.
Like seriously in mexico they are actually beating up emo kids or something like that.
If you have to, go goth (but real goth, not hot topic mallgoth).

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
i mean your hair is just tooo long, look at Sleva10's hair on pics of you and that was what my hair used to be like....before i had a hair cut...
You can call me Sleva or Slev xD. Or Ian. Much easier.
I've cutted it in the back now. But the Fringe stays. ALWAYS!!!
I've threatened mah mum. If she ever, EVER, touches it I'm gunna colour mah hair blue and pink :-P . And believe me. I WOULD DO THAT!
What's wrong with the EMO look <_<. It's just a clothing style... Can't see the big deal. What if I had started to walk around screaming "DON'T GO FOR THE WHATEVER-YOUR-LOOK-IS LOOK!!!! People beat up PERSONS LIKE YOU!"
So what? And goth is fine too...
I say; GO WITH WHATEVER YOU FIND OKAY!. Something that suits you, clothes you like. Don't think style, think comfort. <3 In return, your clothes will love you as much as you love them.

I've been called them both plenty of times. And I don't care. I just think that it's pathetic that other people would sink so low that they won't accept people looking even slightly different. I spit in their directions.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
It's not that you look different.
It's that you look the same.
The exact same as everyone else who is part of the "emo" clique.
And while that's basically what defines a clique in and of itself, the emo style is a quite obnoxious one.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
Defining yourself by any style pretty much ensures that there are thousands of people in your country alone who dress exactly like you. You may look different in your own town, but the fact is you're conforming to a pre-determined style. Even if you weren't, being different =/= good.

I don't think so. I can tell who's who out of my friends. no problem. We all dress sub-differently and we look and act very differently. Those emos that look the same is often the "emo" and the "wemo". Those who look like all the others is the ones who just "wanna dress like they do". :-P
I forexample think that all the girls in my class looks the same. All blonde, hair that goes poof, parfume, loads of make-up, tight clothes... etc. etc.
But I personally has nothing against people in general. I think it's fine however people wants to dress. They could be naked for all I care.
And saying that all emos looks the same is the same as saying that all Japanese people look the same. THEY DON'T!. Now stop that whining. it's pathetic, and I can't stand it.
I never said that you had to dress that way, and you can't force the people who do to dress differently.
You can have your opinion, I respect that, but stop the whining before I go all *bleep*y! (and believe me, when I'm *bleep*y, I AM *bleep*y!)
now :3 Is that you thar workin out Altresac?? XD.
You somewhat look like my bro
(kidding)
(gah) pics to biiig >.<

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
I have nothing against people, I have stuff against the style.
Personally the whole emo look flat out disgusts me and I don't understand why anyone would want to look like that. But hey there's nothing I can do.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
I can understand that. I don't find it that attractive either. I'm always fine with the person unless they're suicidal ... Then they just need help. I just don't find the look clean or attractive. But hey, if you find it attractive, then it works for you.

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
its not surpossed to be attractive, its just some people's style......
yup. And if you're going for it try to make it individual
.
I forexample, hate the color red on clothes, so I like the combination black/green better. I also like to wear shirts with stripes in different colours aswell.
And my hair is basically in a new color every week. (I'm the colored emo according to friends. xD).
Gunna get a piercing next week. Aswell as a haircut (gunna do it myself i think).
And you do have a point when you say that they all look the same >>. But basically it's because someone wants to try the style out so they copy someone else. Doing it individual is always better. :3

Re: "Pics of You" Discussion Thread
You're always copying someone else. It's a pre-determined style. To even be labeled as it you must fit into the definition.
