But seriously, everything you said is 100% true. It's common sence if the Earth was flat, there would be no underground, no core, ect. The Earth was formed into a sphere because of gravity.

Actually..it was made that way because of the gases that made the earth,and they formed that shape..which science doesn't know why..and because of space..were actually moving really fast while spining while going around a ball of fire..while in space..and where there is no oxygen..HEY SCIENCE!EXPLAIN THAT!

The Earth is round because in the process of planetary accretion, matter is more efficiently packed that way than, say, a square or triangle shape in free space. Efficiency matters because in a universe where entropy (measure of "chaos") is always increasing, a decreased entropy is more desirable. Btw, gravity is also responsible for why the Earth's interior is layered the way it is; iron, heavier than other elements, "sank" down and formed a core, while the lighter stuff (mantle, crust, etc.) are around it. I didn't really understand the last thing you're saying. If you are saying that you need an explanation for why the Earth rotates around the Sun, um well here: it's called gravity plus matter going into orbit at a steady orbital velocity. And what does oxygen have to do with anything...>.>

fun fact: The Moon is veeery slowly distancing itself away from the Earth. Every year, it gets farther apart by a few centimeters. This is because it's not exactly in orbit around the Earth.

I get what your saying..I wacthed a special on it called The Universe..I found out..but I get nightmares about that kinda stuff..I'm not someone who'd want to leave my eatrh.

Also the moon is moving away from us,and were moving away from the sun.I can't explain why the gravity helps us orbit the sun..I think it goes like.....the gravity holds us and keeps us from flying into space,and ???*scrathes head*Wow..never really use this stuff..I'm forgetting about this stuff.

Yeah, and you guys just gave me a huge science lesson (not that I mind, it's one of my favorite topics...especially space science). But yea...common sense people! Just because what we see is flat (aka, the horizon) doesn't mean we live on some big flat disc or just a plane...I mean, if you're on an ocean heading for land, you see the peaks of mountains first, then the trees, then the beach...how do they explain that? And nice way of putting the Big Bang Theory...how can the explain the matter being there? Oh they already have...it's called the Book of Genesis lol

That's umm... Quite wrong. Scientology is not the belief in science as fact. Scientology is the cult that centers around the belief that 75 Million Years ago, the Galactic Emperor Xenu (I sh*t you not) gathered up a bunch of the universe's excess population, threw them onto earth, exploded a bunch of volcanoes with hydrogen bombs, killed all those people, gathered up their spirits, brainwashed them in move theaters, and then put the spirits in people. It is a 100% bullsh*t cult, that involves paying large sums of money to have your 'thetans' (spirits) removed, and they kill people who leave. That isn't even the half of it. I'd suggest you do detailed research into this subject, because you are completely wrong. This is a good site with a lot of information about the subject.

Also, the disbelief in god does not make something completely untrue because they deny what your system of beliefs. There are many different religions out there, and saying what your saying is very closed-minded and makes you look foolish. I'd advise you to not do that again, and to keep your religious beliefs to yourself.

The sun is such a massive object that it has its own gravity, which has locked in the eight planets of our solar system, and then some, into orbit around it. It may be hard to understand, so let's go smallscale. The Moon orbits the Earth because the earth exerts gravity, which has pulled the Moon into orbit. Now, imagine something several million times bigger. That's how you get planetary orbit.

Now that I've dispelled everything inherently wrong with this thread, the Flat Earth Society is full of a bunch of batsh*t insane idiots. The Earth is most definitely not flat.
