13 Reasons Why The Originals are favoured by me

I know that everyone is getting sick and tired of these "The Originals are better than TLOS" and are just saying "Live with it". Well here is why i want the original Style back, or atleast why i liked the originals better. I hope Krome can see why I dont favour TLOS as much.

1. Music- THe "Epic" (i dont find it too epic, its just boring choir dark music, i find music like this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH3GH7Pn_eA) epic), orchestral tunes are nice but i much prefered Stewarts rockin tunes, this is debatable though, and probably is only opinions.
2. Variety in gameplay- In TLOS, there are a few alternations, but it is mainly fight, bit of platforming, more fighting. Sure the fighting has different styles, bust most of them are quite boring like the strafing fireballs.
3. Bosses- I found the Bosses in the original games alot more fun than in TLOS, mostly because you have to use your mind to defeat them, and just not dodge this and repeatably press this button. Besides, in TLOS they reused buttons, ravage rider was steam all dressed up, the elemental dragon was Cynder, the exterminator or whatever is the second boss wrapped up, arborick and the scurvyings/assasins are all very similar engines, and i havn't played Gaul yet, but i bet he'll be a boss already used.
4. Design- TLOS is alot more detailed than the originals, obviously because of the Graphical capabilities, but the creativeness of backgrounds, levels, enemies and characters i found awesome in the originals
5. Comedy- Sparx is the only funny think in TLOS, and i DO find him funy, but the originals always made you smile, most of the Jokes were lame, but still altogether fun
6. Characters- All of the characters in TLOS are stereotypical, there is the Wise OLd Dragon who guides Spyro, Spyro the courageous kind hero, Sparx the funny wisecracking sidekick, Cynder the mysterious girl whos not very wise. Ofcource the originals had some stereotypes aswell but there were so many characters that it was hard to notice, and they were ment to be steretypes. All characters had great personalities though, with all kinds of emotions, you may disagree with me on this if you want. THis point Shouldn't be worried about.
7. Portals, Sparx the health Bar- Sparx the health bar was a very unique feature and some argue that he is unneeded these days, but i think he was great, and alot more believeable actually, even though he was a dragonfly who takes hits. I loved the idea of Portals, and taking them away is just making spyro not spyro anymore. My main point here is that the originals were the only games that spyro really WAS, oh and the first 3 GBA games!
8. Minigames- Some say that Spyro is not a party game, but i say he IS a party game... in disguise. The Minigames made the Spyro games have tonnes of variety, and insure that you do not get bored, they were great. And some provide alot of challenge.
9. Flame- I hated how its limited in TLOS, even if it was needed, Spyro should have unlimited flame
10.Length- TLOS is hell short, and is one of the greatest flaws
11.Levels- Under design, but still, the originals had tonnes and TONNES of level, really unique too. Even though the Levels in TLOS are long, there are only 6 or 7 in each game. THis was to cut down on making palettes, lazy, lazy Krome Studios. The level designs in TLOS are boring, look at ANB, you have the grass area, the snow/icy area, the volcano area, the crystal/electric/castle area.
12.Replay- well after you beat the boring games of ANB or TEN, what can you do? hmmm, ANB you cant do anything but upgrade your breaths, and you get nothing once you do so, and in TEN you can get these quills to get "concept art", a cheapy excuse for a prize which only some will want to take notice to, you can do the "dragon challanges" and unlock dark spyro, and then you can fight fight fight fight more... and its easier, WHAT A PRIZE (sarcastic) . A good Spyro game should have a Primary, secondary and Turshry collectable, or atleast the first 2.
13.Gliding- You can use it much more in the originals, you might as well not have it in TLOS

THat is my opinion, feel free to argue if you want, i wont mind.

I am posting this thread because some people i say that i like the originals because they are the originals, or i cant handle change, i want to show them that I actually have reasons.
Some points here may sound pretty hipocritical, but i will explain if anybody asks about one of them.

It's not that people aren't appreciating what you call "real" Spyro games (rofl). It's just that people are tired of hearing ratchet sounding like a broken record.

Let me bring up mine:
TLoS and Originals are the same for me. Originals for fun, TLoS for action. TLoS is NOT stupid because it's a really good challenge. Stop being haters. (No offense.)

No my knowledge, there is no male dragon on male dragon action in LoS. Please don't disparage a group of people to get a point across.

And yes, LoS fails. It is nothing like the Spyro I grew up with.

Oh for the love of... RaidonMakoto a game cannot fail in absolution! There will always be people who hate a game, and always people who love it. It would only completely fail if EVERY person who played it hated it. Don't bother using absolutes, because they're rarely true. (I didn't say never, because that, in itself, is an absolute). I suggest you get wise to what words mean in real life, or you will quickly find yourself looking like an idiot.

Juice Box is kinda the "extreme" version of me. Yeah and please stop causing these arguments, TLOS police like Game_Girl2007 are going to get angry and insist on closing the thread. But believe me, i wouldn't be angry if someone posted a "13 reasons why TLOS is better than the originals", sure i would argue with it, but i wouldn't have a grudge towards it.

Okay, kids, it's time for me to step in. We are all entitled to our own opinions. We may not like it, we may like it. Calling it names like gay or stupid is immature and just steps on the beliefs of others. If you all continue to belittle each other over this, I'll lock the topic and address each member who participated personally.

Now, some members are annoyed at ratchet's views on the games. He is entitled to them, so long as he doesn't try to cram them down the throats of others. He's been told about this, and he's on a short lease, meaning we're making sure nobody steps in the wrong place. Ratchet making a topic like this is certainly fair grounds. He was just saying why he liked the originals. Before everyone started acting immature, I was going to post my agreement, and how I liked his ideas. You've all been warned.

I've said to Game_Girl that i wouldn't say anything Bad about TLOS. I think some people are annoyed how i quote peeps and tell them what i think of their post, And yet i am not allowed to do that they say. I dont go "TLOS is gay" nor do i go "You are stupid".

Ratchet's views on the game are fine by me, and his reasons for it are plausible. I'm just annoyed at Raidon because his ideas of the game are a bit too extreme (that TLoS fails completely, which is very far from the truth)

Gay was used to mean "stupid" but even so, we must be politically correct here. Someone who is homosexual may find that word offensive. Keep in mind that "*bleep*" is a black person's word. They call each other it for affection but when a white man uses it, it's racism. Avoid these types of words to keep these forums a free place for all.

Okay... So the TLoS series may stray from the originals BUT there is no reason to call it (sorry admins) gay or stupid...

The Boss Battles in TLoS are more harder and much more enjoyable to beat.

In fact, I want The Darkest Hour to be literally ten times as hard compared to TEN. It will be fun!

Party games? A Party Game has to be two or more players... Spyro has only one player so far...

I'm a diehard fan of the originals. They were awesome. the LoS games are, in their own right, okay games. But nothing will ever compare to the original spyro in my mind.
