Old Spyro: Spyro/Elora

LoS Spyro: Spyro/Cynder

Those are the only Spyro pairings I support (and by "Spyro" I mean the dragon himself; I have a hoard of crack pairings I love big_smile Ignitus/Elora, Elora/Cynder, Elora/Gaul... )

Also, Ember isn't in the LoS universe so far. big_smile But, yeah. She pretty much made her interests clear in Shadow Legacy, and it's pretty clear that Spyro is interested in Cynder.

Ah, but one doesn't make best friends in the course of a few weeks (and it has been stated that it was only a couple of weeks between the end of ANB and the start of TEN). They probably were friends in the early games, but I still see a lot of budding romance in every interaction between them in TEN.

I suppose it's just up to individual interpretation of what Spyro and Cynder's relationship is. I'm always going to see them as siblings or something, I'm just not interested in the romance and I never saw it anyway until Wilson stressed that they aren't really related.

Either way, Ember's not part of the tLoS universe so it's cool with me if people want to assume she got together with the Spyro from the other universe.

Actually, I got a friend that likes SpyroxEmber and she never played AHT or SL, only the original trilogy. It has nothing to do with the actual relationship in the game, she says she likes the concept of a pink dragon love interest. These things are often liked merely for the commercial aspect. For example, I hate the Lilo and Stitch series, but there's this one experiment I see everywhere online and on video clips named Angel, and despite that I know basically nothing about her, for some reason I instantly like her with Stitch. I even got a keychain of the two because they LOOK cute together, that's basically it.

That's a really good point there and it goes a long way toward explaining why the pairing has so many fans. It's also a pretty valid explanation for why some people hate it so. (I, for example, loathe the color pink on principle. Granted, I am an exception to this in general because I base snap judgments on audio cues more than visual and Ember's voice makes me want to scream.)
