Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

I'm pretty sure you'll encounter physics sooner or later. It's a big branch of science just like biology or chemistry. Just wait out a few more years. As for now, you could always download or buy 3d software  program like Maya (or whatever you're interested in) and fiddle around with them, even if the program seems too complicated. Trial and error does wonders.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

My Parents wont let me buy anything over the internet. But yeah, i've been trying to get some 3D software.
The Physics we do at school is nothing likethe Phisics for game design, believe me. And as i said before, even in year 12 you cant pick anything releating to game design as a subject.
Owell, im really starting to hate school now, and i feer to go. Not just because of the constantly harassing kids, but the expectations of teachers, and the pointlessness of it all.
Last night i felt like hanging myself, but thats really just giving in....

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

1. don't hang yourself O_O'
2. just do your best. that's all the teachers want.
3. if you put up with the crap, you can get a better career in the future. it's almost like a reward for putting up with the crap xD besides, you do need some stuff in school for game design. you need computer class to learn computer skills. you need science to learn how physics work, so your games don't make any false statements about physics. you need reading to learn how to spell big words you may use in the games.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

1. Yeah i wont, dont worry, even though im depressed, i'm afraid of death 0_o
2. No, they just want to get money, most of em anyway
3.i already have a large volcabulary, i can learn these words through TV and video games much easily. Computer class- Nothing really relating to game design we learn, and the stuff we learn is normally bout huardware anyway (most of the software stuff i know), The Physics we get taught in science isn't really the pysics i need, and normall we learn about the scientist who discover these things, not how it really works.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

Hmm, it looks like you're trying to AVOID the problem and not taking the initiative. In that case, you need to tackle any issues you have with your self-esteem. Because you CAN make time for a hobby and you aren't "destined" for boredom. Like, you have to stop thinking that school is a jail.

What do you mean by that? What im saying, is that i dont have enough free time already, so an extra hobby would just make me more depressed.
Oh, never mind, i just hate how school is ruling my life.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

Really, get over it. First step is to not dwell on a problem you already have. Second step is to decide on doing something that satisfies you. Third step is to make time (this is not always easy).

Well I already said that if you're busy with chores and school, and it seems as if you don't have time, I'm suggesting that you make some room. As in, do homework faster, chores faster, etc. That's all I'm saying. Don't say you have room for absolutely nothing.

And talk to your parents about the issues you have regarding free time (and perhaps your "depression"). If you feel that the issue is serious, there's no reason why they shouldn't listen to what you have to say.

I can't really tell you much else.  Just try to do some of the suggested advice. Good luck!

Oh, believe in yourself.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

sorry, but my parents dont care. And no, i cant do my homework "faster", it sounds like an excuse for an answer. Thankyou for trying to help me though. I do have room for hobbies, but that room is already tight enough.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

Yeah, but why do they MAKE it so you need to go the school to get to university. Look at Game design, here in Australia, you CAN NOT choose an elective for game design even in year 12... Besides, Saying that i should bare it now and have fun later also sounds like an excuse. Im worried because when your a kid your the most mobile, and im waisting this mobile time at school.

Re: Not Another Depressing Thread!

I wouldn't exactly say that school is wasting one's life away; try to be optimistic. They're just the prerequesites to higher-level stuff when you go to college/university. And although you might think you won't need any of it, you probably will sooner or later. Maybe not everything, but some of it at least. You know, the basics.

see, Bluespirit's day is getting WAISTED by school

getting WAISTED by school

WAISTED
