Origonal Spyro or New Spyro?

Based on looks and personality, NOT game wise. Please explain why.

Original... He's much cuter and original looking... not to metion he actually has personality
TLOS spyros just too nice and perfect, His head is typical dragon and his body is too much likes a dog's. He also looks too much like the guardians. He has cute aspects but pretty much i just dont find him cute

Go Ratchet! Man, I just don't see how people like his new look. He is so ugly!!!! His nose is huge and square, his eyes are bulgy, his wings just aren't shaped right, the lines on his chest and belly are too far apart, his new horn look sucks, his mouth is crooked, the mane between his horns and down his back just doesn't seem right, his feet are just weird looking, the thing on the end of his tail looks like it got smashed, and his overall appearance just isn't right. I also miss his go-getter type attitude.

ok... I've explained this a couple of times...and guess what? You get to hear it again:

THE NEW. Because the illustrators gave his body a good long thought before they drew anything. I like Zabillas' drawing of the original Spyro, but it doesn't seem that he took it enough into account, that the character would have to be animated. Spyro's old body just doesn't fit any anatomically explanation, and I personally ditest that.
The new Spyro has much better lines. And yes, offcourse his body assembles the one of the animals we already have in this world, and this is usually, mainly done because it makes his movement much more flowing and natural.
I like his tailspade now, that it's actually a spade. And the crest is nicer as well. The crest of a "real" (mythical) dragon was originially thought up, because people believed that dragons were good swimmers, and the crests' practical use, is that of keeping the creature from rolling over when it swims underwater, as well as in the air - much like the tailfeathers of a bird. If you were wondering about the tail spade: It was flat because it helped propell the dragon, when in the water.
He might not look as cute, but I would chose the anatomicly "correct" look anytime, over some wierd build body.

I like both of the different Spyro looks. I really hated the cock, somewhat arrogant Spyro in AHT, but I liked Spyro in GTG and YotD.

I agree with HIR. Both of their looks are great. Spyro does have a personality in TLoS, unlike what ratchet said. He's an absolutely caring person, who places others needs before his own, that's a personality. But yes, I did hate his personality in AHT, he was cocky, and selfish. In StD, RR/GtG, YotD, and ETD, I also liked his personality.

Replying To Pips post, well i have no problem with that tailblade thing or whatever, just the fact about you said that "the atamony doesn't fit", if you havn't realised, hes a dragon, who the hell knows what the atamony is.... TLOS spyro is just a plain old dog woof woof

About the spyro matchine the guardians thing well yeah, TLOS spyro does do that... but as i've said on other threads, Old Spyro does too... but you dont know a few things. Remember there were all kinds of Dragons in Spyro 1, spyro's body for as much as we know completely change when he ages, original spyro wasn't of sposed to come from the dragon realm he was in.

I think new spyro is better cause he has more expression in his movements and face ( i still think the old spyro rocks though)

Yes the new Spyro is A LOT better. His body is like that of a real dragon (if they existed!) and I love his personality. He's kind and determined. Whereas before he was cocky and sometimes annoying...

New.
Personality: Cockeyness is abhorant to me, and that is the dominant personality trait of the old. The new seems to have a far better grasp on reality.
Appearance: The new is closer to dragon shape, while the old looks like something along those lines if the PS1 could have handled more detail. Also he moves more like a cat than a dog.

The new Spyro has no expresion at all. Listen to his voice in ANB when he screams NOOOOOOO! because one of the apes puts Sparx in a cage. His voice volume and pitch stay the same and it sounds more like a NOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

The old Spyro on the other hand had a very perky charming voice that matched his emotions well. He also moves his eyebrows a lot. I mean look at this adorable picture!!!!!!!!!!!! It will win your heart for sure!!!

Spyro: Do you not like me anymore? sad :'(

I don't think you read my post proper Ratchet.

I said that off course he's build and altered from an existing creature, because it's almost impossible to build a functioning qaudrupal anatomy sheme, that doesn't exist IRL. And it would seem that some tried to do just this with the old Spyro - and thats why he moves/looks in a wierd way.

Yes, i think alot of people cannot understand that the old spyros anatomy wasn't built on anything. Oh yeah, not saying that TLOS body is "unoriginal" , im just defending old spyro. yeah, old spyro= much cuter.

I prefer the new Spyro. I remember the old Spyro being a bit cocky and sarcastic, while the new Spyro is more innocent and kind. His horns also look better now.
