Re: Harry Potter!

I'm in the middle of reading it for the 4th time.  Usually I wouldn't do that, but the Harry Potter books rock!

Anyone who wants to know, I can probably read HPATDH in about 2-2+1/2 hours.  big_smile
Maybe Dumbledore can help Harry from a portrait of himself...

So you're saying with the 600 pages of the book, that you can read 4 pages in  minute and approximately 10 words a second!?
Yeah right...even if you were scanning you would be barely able to take in any of the info

Re: Harry Potter!

I agree that very gifted rcord holders may be able to do it but I will not believe anyone who just comes on a forum and say they can read a 600-page book in 2 hours.

Re: Harry Potter!

That's a pretty good time! and I thought I was fast..... o_O

Why would anyone say Harry Potter stinks? His storys have great plotlines and an entire world devoted to magic. Still, haven't gotten the next book yet, :'(  but I am wondering if it's the last one though  :?:

Re: Harry Potter!

Critics are people who give intelligent reasons why they like or don't like something. Saying "I've always hated it" doesn't make you a critic.  tongue

Re: Harry Potter!

=3 Yeah, I know what you mean. It's annoying though, people saying they hate it and not even bothering to give a reason why. It contributes nothing to the thread.

Re: Harry Potter!

Well hey, everyone has their own opinions. I don't understand why they don't like it though. Still, I can't change they're minds unless I come up with a really good argument, which happens rather rarely.  hmm

Re: Harry Potter!

I couldn't care less if people don't like it. I just wish they wouldn't post in my thread if they don't have anything to contribute....

OK, I'm done ranting now.

I don't mind alittle bit of magic in the everyday life. Sometimes wish I had a wand wich I could smack someone in the head with...
