Re: Pokemon Thread
Same for me except haunter instead of cubone. It was the first Pokemon I maxed out my friendship on pokemonamie for
Considering that you said it's the same for you even though you actually meant something completely different doesn't make it the same at all! THE MORE YOU KNOW
And so Stormy doesn't beat me over the head with a baseball bat for being off-topic, I found out that Marowak can actually be really, really powerful if you use him right. Right now he has Bone Club, Bone Rush, Bonemerang, and Focus Energy, and if I use Focus Energy then Bonemerang or Bone Rush, they're dead instantly unless it's not very effective. I only have Bone Club there because it makes up for the fact that Bone Rush and Bonemerang both only have 10 pp.
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

Re: Pokemon Thread
I think he was just saying it's his favorite Pokémon.... ![]()
It's generally bad strategy to have your Pokémon know more than one move of the same type. I used to make fun of KL for that all the time. It'll work fine for AI players, but not real people.
You shouldn't have to worry about PP if it's as powerful as you say.
Plus there are vitamins or something that can raise a move's PP.
...Sorry for that; I used to read Serebii and Smogon all the time for stuff like this. Most of my move sets and EV spreads came directly from those websites. I'm so creative.

I beat the game today after not really having played it for a week or two. The elite four music was awesome; it really got my blood pumping.
The rest of this stuff might be spoilers, so i'll put a spoiler on it.

I can't decide whether Black/White or X/Y elite four theme is better. Black/White had a better intro but X/Y had a better..well everything else.

Stormy wrote:Anyway, I actually quite like the mega evolutions. Besides from looking awesome, I think they will be an interesting new combat mechanic, if they're not too overpowered.
Well, since they have to hold the Mega Stones they can't hold other items, so that evens it out a bit.

my heart strings a little bit just a tad. That's the second movie, Pokémon the Movie 2000 - The Power of One. It's my favourite Pokémon movie. Seeing one Lugia taking on the three legendary birds all by itself was amazing. I also really liked the environments that the environments that the movie took place in.
I love the main video games, the Pokémon Ranger spin-off games, Pokémon manga and Pokémon The Origin. So, does anyone here read Pokémon manga?

Re: Pokemon Thread
After having actually played the game, I have to say I don't really care for mega evolution. It doesn't really add anything interesting, story or gameplay wise. I don't hate it or anything; it's just kind of meh.
Felt the same way about this latest game in general tbh; maybe I'm just getting bored of the formula.
Haven't read any of the manga, but if it's (legally) free to read online I'll have to look into it.

Re: Pokemon Thread

Nope.
Haven't read any of the manga, but if it's (legally) free to read online I'll have to look into it.
Actually some of the older Pokémon mangas (mostly from the end of the 90's and the beginning of the 00's) are legally available on Open Library (it's an online library operated by a non-profit organization named the Internet Archive).
Most of the Pokémon manga there that are available in digital form (1, 2, 3) are protected by DAISY and require a key issued by Library of Congress NLS program, which effectively makes it impossible to borrow for anyone who isn't a visually impared / blind US citizen. However, there is one manga that can be borrowed by anyone, anywhere: Chapter 1-3 of Pokémon Adventures volume 1. It's an old and outdated edition (the 2nd edition they released in 2009 is printed in the original right to left format while the 1st edition I linked to is flipped, which impaires the artwork), but it's still worth a read and it's a good reading sample. Pokémon Adventures (also known as Pokémon Special) is the internationally most known Pokémon manga and also one of the best ones out there (though there are a lot of other great titles as well). If you like it you can easily buy volumes from pretty much any respectable book website / bigger shopping website. (If so, I suggest getting the box sets, you save a lot on those and get a poster and a nice collection box with it).
tl;dr
Anyway, just go to this page and follow the instructions. You'll have to create an account on Open Library, download Adobe Digital Editions (that's how they put DRM on it, trying to prevent people from stealing the scans and preventing multiple persons from borrowing it at the same time) and download the protected file from Open Library.
Don't worry, just do what the page I linked to says and you'll have access to the P D F in no time.

Re: Pokemon Thread
Speaking of Pokemon, it's my first playthrough of Pokemon White (I only recently managed to obtain a Nintendo DS so I'm behind in pokemans) and I challenged the Elite Four and got whipped. :< All my Pokemon were at level 48 too. I don't understand.
So now I'm going to train them to level 50 and try again. Which will take a while because I replaced my Musharna with an Axew and have to train it up. Ugh.
but hey at least I have a god on my side.![]()

Re: Pokemon Thread
Oh by now I've totally whipped the Elite Four. All my Pokemon are level 62 and I'm training them to take on the Elite Four the second time, so I can actually fight the champion this time.
Since last time I was so RUDELY INTERRUPTED by N's castle bursting out of the ground.
in related news, Zekrom is a pretty beast Pokemon. Paired up with my Haxorus, it's unstoppable.
...also I nicknamed Zekrom 'Cynder' because reasons.
