Pokemon Thread
So I was thinking... Lots of people here seem to like Pokemon, right? Why not have a thread for it? I'll start it off with this video from Rev3Games

Re: Pokemon Thread
I cringed at the guy using his fingers on the 3DS touchscreen. D:
I'm not really looking forward to this mega evolution thing.... Sounds kind of unnecessary and reminds me of Digimon or something.

We don't speak of that here *glares*
Anyway, I actually quite like the mega evolutions. Besides from looking awesome, I think they will be an interesting new combat mechanic, if they're not too overpowered.

But Digimon is good.

I used to watch it, I enjoyed it but it never amounted to Pokemon, IMO.

Re: Pokemon Thread
Nothing wrong with saying something off topic as long as you also include something that's not.
You, on the other hand, are not on topic at all, so don't try to pull that one on me.
Anyways, I might have seen maybe two full episodes of Digimon, so I'm not really qualified to judge it. I remember getting into an argument with my friend when I was a kid about Digimon vs. Pokemon, defending Pokemon to the death despite knowing virtually nothing about Digimon.
I may have been a judgmental kid.
I probably just won't use the mega evolution stuff, but we'll see. Maybe I'll be wrong about it, but so far it looks like I'm going to prefer "traditional" Pokemon.

Re: Pokemon Thread
Okay, on topic. I did watch the first Pokemon movie, or whichever one had
the big Lugia bird flying across the ocean and stuff. It actually kind of pulled
my heart strings a little bit just a tad.

Re: Pokemon Thread
I honestly just play pokemon for fun, not competitively in any way. If I don't like the way an evolution looks, I don't let my pokemon evolve. I don't care about pokerus or breeding or whatever.
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

Re: Pokemon Thread
I used to be really into the EV training and competitive battling, even though I only ever battled Paranoia. ![]()
The goal of Pokemon games for me is to get past the story mode so I can start the fun part where the real challenges are. That's why I want a working copy of Emerald so much: they have that Battle Frontier at the end that gets really challenging and can basically last forever.

Re: Pokemon Thread
I Play because I love the series raising, bonding, and evolving my Pokemon is just a blast and when I beat the A really strong trainer and team it's an accomplishment because the hard working Pokemon I raised made it so! Think I'll be playing X for a while with that being said!
Don't play competitively I would get owned! But it would be a blast! As a Pokemon fan going up against the best would rock! But not my thing still enjoy hearing about it though!
Did anyone see the new Pokemon Nintendo Direct yet?

Re: Pokemon Thread
The Pokemon games are the only ones that I have ever found to last. It takes me at least a day or more to complete the story and then after that, it'll takes me weeks to complete as much of the Pokedex as I can without cheats. The best thing about them, for me, is the collecting. I can get almost OCD about it.
Besides the obvious exception of the Classic Spyro games, which were insanely replayable, any other games that I played I'd be done with in a few hours and would never touch again.

Re: Pokemon Thread
Heh, I play my Pokemon games for maybe a month before getting bored of them and barely ever touching them again. With no one to battle, I can't find anything that makes them replayable for me. It's made me kind of consider not getting this next one.... I'll probably just sell some of my old ones so I don't feel as bad about it. ![]()
