Google+ is actually a lot better than Facebook, in my opinion. It looks much nicer, and the privacy settings aren't as confusing. The problem is that Facebook users don't want to switch over because "no one's on it," but no one's on it because the Facebook users don't want to switch over.
Google+ actually lead to some changes in how Facebook does some things, so that was good, if nothing else.

Not always.... The change I'm talking about was actually a good one: it let you put your friends in "groups," making it easier to control who sees what. Even if you completely hate Facebook and think it's "evil" or whatever, I don't see how that would be a bad change.
