That sucks. You try to limit your time on it then maybe you will get more computer time.

you know, i don't think i've ever spent more than fifteen minutes on Reddit. that was one time, and the other ones i didn't care because apparently it's too script-laden and i don't think most of the content on it is interesting enough to bother playing around with NoScript for.

that sucks that you have to stay offline so often. on the other hand, maybe that time away from the computer will result in something productive and beneficial, like it tends to do for me.

I just deleted my account not too long ago because I realized I hate reddit, its sense of humor, its community, its culture, and basically everything it stands for. Reddit has this amazing power of draining all the fun out of fandoms I usually enjoy with forced memes, overanalyzing, and half-second gifs of people talking that look like they've been run through 20 Instagram filters. And don't even get me started on "karma" and "circlejerking" and the infinite counter-circlejerks against them. Whenever I went there it was always a negative, time-wasting experience and I would come out of it feeling like complete crap. TL;DR 36 you're really not missing anything. Also *bleep* you KingLambda for convincing me to make an account in the first place. tongue Wow I think I've been using this section as a rantbox too much lately sorry about that guys

Anyway... I had pretty much the same problem growing up and never figured out a good way to balance my internet time until I actually moved out of my parents' house. I admit that I didn't do enough things in "real life," but it was like the fact that my parents were watching me and judging me all the time just made it worse. I would constantly be getting "banned from the internet" by my parents, which was why (if anyone was around back then) you might remember that I used to randomly disappear sometimes.
