Dubstep

dubstep is getting better. it seems like more people are actually putting thought into what they make instead of just adding random bleeps and BLARGH BIBBLE *bass drop* noises now and going, "hey look, i'm a dubstep artist!". when a new music style comes along, it seems like it takes a while for the musicians behind it to fully grasp what's going on.

Dubstep seems to be getting better now in my opinion, too. Thing is, the past few years have been really bad for dubstep because the mainstream producers were making electro-house-infused dubstep, something that came to be known as 'Brostep'... the guy leading this movement being Skrillex. Meanwhile, in the UK, we had Nero, who have more of a regular dubstep sound- perhaps with pop music styles fused in. Because of this Brostep has become some sort of Americanisation of Dubstep, because the Dubstep being produced here is predominantly 'normal' dubstep. If you listen to Dubstep from a few years back when it wasn't known at all in the US, you get this sort of thing... 'real' dubstep.
