What about the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy? The Dark Knight Rises was just EPIC!!!! And The Avengers is really awesome as well.

not seen the avengers...nether saw any marvel films asside from xmen 1-2 and spiderman 1-3 (new spiderman looks boring and emo so STFu)

Nah, the amazing Spider-Man was really good.

Looked quite *bleep* to me.

Spiderman was best beeing a silly film with some fun moments.

Well if you saw the movie you would see that it has the same kind of formula.

Any thoughts on Star Wars Episode 7? Personally I don't see why the fanbase is going all berserk over Disney taking the reigns. They've had a load of success over the past couple years and I expect Star Wars to be no different.

Also, can't wait for Jurassic Park 4.

Well the fact is there have already been a bizillion sequels to star wars,books and comics ect, plus chances are cgi will be used alot and the fans of star wars arn't to keen on cgi...thats just my theory

The story of Star Wars is Anakin bringing balance to the force, but since he's already done that, there is nothing else to tell. I really don't know how it's going to turn out, I really hope they don't make it too Disney. I can honestly say I'm against the idea of a 7th, 8th and 9th Star Wars movie.

Well I'm unsure why CGI makes that big of a difference really. Star Wars originally took off in part because of how advanced the special effects were for that time. A Star Wars movie that can be on par with Avatar in term of effects would be incredible. Disney will do it justice.

And there haven't been many sequels to Star Wars in the grand scheme of things. The books are part of an 'expanded universe.' Really only for the biggest fans of the series. Episodes 7, 8, and 9 probably won't have anything to do with them, and may even screw with the events that take place in them. For me the important part is that story feels natural, not excessively dragged out.

Which brings me to my next point. I agree that the original story of Star Wars is about the prophecy of the force. However, the Star Wars universe is huge and covers thousands upon thousands of years of history. Surely there are more stories to tell within the universe.

Personally I think Disney won't pick up directly after the end of Return of the Jedi. Rather, I think it will be pretty far off in the future. The story of the prophecy of the force has ended, but that doesn't mean there aren't more stories to tell.

And if they turn out to be against the favor of a particular individual, said individual can simply ignore the existence of them. Many "hardcore" [Fussy fanboys] already do this with the prequel trilogy.

Oh they're making another Smurfs movie in fact they want to do a sequel and then a 3rd movie, as for Jurassic Park 4, that sounds interesting, I may check that out, anyone heard about the Carrie remake, Last Exorcism 2 or Mama?

How about just not make another Star Wars movie? Don't get me wrong, I don't care one way or the other if it's made, but if they're out of good ideas they probably shouldn't be making a movie.

Well they do need to make it...star wars, other wise there just making a si fy film, so adding the more...iconic charicyors into the film is hardly a bad idea, just...cheesey i guess...

What? Star Wars takes place in a /huge/ universe. It's in no way limited, and as shown in the expanded universe there are hundreds of stories to tell. It's like how Lord of the Rings isn't the only story in Middle-Earth.

As for the bringing back Darth Vader rumor. It's just that, a rumor. Not many details have been confirmed about Episode 7. Considering it isn't releasing until 2015, rumors aren't credible at all.
